COLD WAR ONE – PART ONE:

1939-56: British Intelligence begins working with Russian intelligence to establish a maritime arms supply line into Europe ‘The Mid Atlantic Convoy’ involving Scales Shipping 254 Montreal St Christchurch New Zealand (opposite the bridge of remembrance).

Roger Hollis, the future deputy Director of the British Intelligence, later widely denounced as a “Russian”, spy goes to work in Shanghai for British American Tobacco Company. Hollis’s social circle will include another professional British intelligence officer and Russian mole Kim Philby. The US becomes interested in South East Asia, with assistance and advice of Philly, the head of the CIA James Angleton, begins planning intelligence operations in South East Asia. In 1974 Lord Trend, formerly Sir Burke Trend and Secretary of the Cabinet for a decade, was secretly called from retirement to conduct an unprecedented inquiry. He was asked to give an independent judgment on the appalling probability that Sir Roger Hollis, a long-serving Director General of MIS, had been a Russian spy for almost thirty years.

1945 -1959 Operation Paperclip was a secret United States intelligence program in which more than 1,600 Nazi German scientists, engineers, and technicians were taken from former Nazi Germany to the U.S. ( And in South America) for government employment after the end of World War II in Europe. US intelligence relies on US industrialist who had good relations with the Nazi to kick start the program.

1950’s 1980’s: The domino theory is a geopolitical theory that was prominent in the United States from the 1950s to the 1980s which argued that if one country in a region came under the influence of communism, then the surrounding countries would follow in a domino effect. It lead to an aggressive right wing US foreign policy and arms race.

1954: Under the Guatemalan dictator Jorge Ubico, the United Fruit Company gained control of 42% of Guatemala’s land, and was exempted from paying taxes and import duties. Seventy-seven percent of all Guatemalan exports went to the United States; and 65% of imports to the country came from the United States. In 1952, the United Fruit Company made the elected government of Guatemala a simple offer: “If y’all want democratic self-government so badly, you can have it—for a small fee“. When the government refuse to be exploited the United Fruits company in 1954 with the assistance of the CIA and western telecommunication firms initiate a coup d’état code-named Operation PBSuccess that deposed the democratically elected Guatemalan President Jacobo Árbenz and ended the Guatemalan Revolution of 1944–1954.

1955: NZ helicopters begins operations in Timaru after helicopters are brought off American in Australia. The vessel have previously being used to run arms and aircraft from Eastern European to the newly fledged state of Israel.

1956: Beginning of the NZSIS, headed by Brigadier Sir Gilbert Smith a patron of World Wildlife Fund and a Club 1001 member. The original NZSIS officers are handpicked from British Foreign Office by Roger Hollis personally (ref: Michael Parkers SIS) later identified, by conservative based British journalist Chapman Pincher, as double for agent of Soviet Union. Sources within Canadian Intelligence acknowledge that the Russian network may have in fact been controlled in turn via Beijing.

1960: WWII Naval veteran shipping dairy and forestry investment magnate Sir William Douglas Goodwood (Sanford – Kiwi Ice Cream -Forestry Shippers Amalgamated Dairies), an Auckland Grammar old boy, begins importing Russian goods into NZ.

1962: Cuban Missile Crisis, leaders of the U.S. and the Soviet Union engaged in a tense, 13-day political and military standoff in October 1962 over the installation of nuclear-armed Soviet missiles on Cuba, just 90 miles from U.S. shores. Direct lines of communication are established between leaders and tacit agreement to keep missile out recognised sphere of influence is forged in the post Cuban environment both sides claiming victory.

1962: The Marsden Point Refinery was built in 1964 and is located about 40km from Whangarei, New Zealand. It is the country’s only refinery and is operated by The New Zealand Refining Company (NZRC). Marsden Point was selected as the location of the refinery due to the availability of a deepwater harbour and the area’s low earthquake risk. In addition, the harbour was close to some of the major North Island markets. Significant amount of land was also available near the site. The refinery processed 35 million tonnes of crude oil annually and supplies 80% of New Zealand’s fuel products. Major oil companies including BP, Chevron, Mobil and Aotea Energy are share owners in the refinery.

1972: Nixon’s visit to China ushered in a new era of U.S.-China relations and effectively removed China as a Cold War foe. Nixon permits sale of grain to China (in return for access to China energy markets). US and China are effectively no longer at a cold war footing with each other.

1972 The Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) was an international bank founded in 1972 by Agha Hasan Abedi, a Pakistani financier. The bank was registered in Luxembourg with head offices in Karachi and London. It was the primary bank used to finance US Saudi backed Mujahedeen in Afghanistan, Contras in Nicaragua and numerous other terror groups involved in proxy wars between USSR and USA. Collapsed in 1991 after it activity became public with more than 20 billion vanishing. It was seen as one of the mean of helping Saudi Arabia achieve it aim of being a nuclear armed nation.

1965-73: ANZAC Special Forces begin classified operations in South East Asia’s Golden Triangle, operating under General Edwin Black – Joint United States Military Command, based in Thailand. Special Forces liaison’s, between NZ and US forces, is overseen by Colonel Bruce Meldrum, the future head of NZ Defence Forces from 1967-1971. The unit would work closely with the Phoenix Program the CIA’s led US Special Forces assassination units.

Australian Special Forces coordinate with mountain tribes in Laos Cambodia Burma to bring down opium and marijuana (woven into “buddahsticks”) into Thailand where they are shipped to the west and begin the largest wave of drug dependency seen since the Dutch East tea company used the forced sale of opium to gain ports and in road into China’s mainland leading to annexation of Macau and Hong Kong. The opium is either transported by river or flown out by Royal Thai Air Force aircraft working under Air America (the CIA air fleet). In return the CIA Air America transport arms and general aide to the anti communists tribes in the mountain of the Golden Triangle. Among those named in this process Theodore Shackley head of CIA special operations who in the 1970’s does a stint in New Zealand as a pilot of Helicopters New Zealand.

NZSAS commandoes engage in Long Range Reconnaissance operations including working with CIA Operation Phoenix assassination teams in Laos Cambodia and deep North Vietnam.

Kiwi soldiers recruited to work with the American’s on Phoenix black bag assassination operations, operating out of Thailand, become known as “grey ghosts” their records are expunged from defence personnel logs so they can work on future operations under detected as field operatives. These are not ‘spies’ paid by the NZ government, with accountability, but the creation of an unofficial intelligence assets who will take their order from their former comrades in arms, in some case their whanau elders, and later corporate heads (as many of their former army bosses will later become board of directors or come from the corporate sector to begin with).

1969- 1979 Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT), negotiations between the United States and the Soviet Union that were aimed at curtailing the manufacture of strategic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons. The majority of talks which were parked by crisis sparked by one side or another. It largely achieved the banning of offensive weapons in space. The talks coined the term Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) to describe a doctrine of military strategy and national security policy in which a full-scale use of nuclear weapons by two or more opposing sides would cause the complete annihilation of both the attacker and the defender.

1972- 1979 SALT II was a series of talks between American and Soviet negotiators from 1972 to 1979 that sought to curtail the manufacture of strategic nuclear weapons. It was a continuation of the SALT I talks 

1972; The Phoenix Foundation a libertarian foundation is created by Nevada-based real estate millionaire Michael Oliver, his friend James Murt McKeever, and investment advisor Harry D. Schultz, plus former members of the Phoenix Program Vietnam and western friendly investors like Saudi arms dealer Adnan Kashoggi.

The Foundation began to construct a platform in the South Pacific on part of a reef, normally a metre below sea level at high tide, was piled high with sand and a small stone platform was erected carrying the flag of the Republic of Minerva—a golden torch on a blue background. The ‘President of Minerva’, Morris Davis, declared at the time: “People will be free to do as they damn well please. Nothing will be illegal so long it does not infringe on the rights of others. If a citizen wishes to open a tavern, set up gambling or make pornographic films, the government will not interfere.” Tonga‘s claim to the reef is recognized by the South Pacific Forum in September 1972. A Tongan expedition is sent to enforce the claim and chase off the libertarian based cartel.

1973: Russian diplomat Andrey Alexeyevich Tatarinov begins his career in North Vietnam where he works until 2004 when he is promoted to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of ASEAN Member States and Common Asian. In 2008 Tatarinov becomes the Russian Ambassador to New Zealand having formed close relations with number of New Zealand Dairy executives including Ian Robertson, Auckland Grammar old boy, head of New Zealand Dairy Boards operation in the Far East and the head of Vostock Service Limited who website advertise that they deal in New Zealand Ice cream, Middle Eastern Oil and Russian Munitions (specifically depleted Uranium rounds).

1973 The Foundation’s next attempt to establish a libertarian state was in 1973 on the island of Abaco in the Bahamas. In the period approaching Bahamian independence, formed by a number of white residents who objected to living under black rule.

1973 The CIA backed coup of Chile takes place.

New Zealand film maker Alister Barry in his documentary on the Labour National government free market reforms notes “In 1973 many New Zealanders watched with concern as Chile new military dictatorship imposed widespread social and economic changes All opposition was crushed as state owned corporations were sold off multinational took over most of the countries resources, work fare and education spending was cut hospitals were privatized. Ten years later no armed force was needed when a democratically elected government began a similar program of reform in New Zealand…During the early 1980’s, a group of right wing economists quietly came to dominate policy development in the New Zealand Treasury. With the election of the Labour Party in 1984 and the appointment of Roger Douglas as minister of finance, their plans were realised with the introduction of some of the most drastic economic reforms seen in a western democracy. This feature documentary tells the story of how the new right elite took power and exercised it relentlessly to turn our country into their version of the model free market state”

31 August 1974 Socialist leaning Prime Minister Norman Kirk dies in the care of Marist nuns both National party campaigner Michael Wall (Author of the spy thriller Museum Street) and Bob Harvey Labour maintain Kirk was a victim of a CIA assassination. When aksed on what I thought for the TVNZ based Secret New Zealand I replied their is no conclusive proof this happened but yes their were odd going on in Wellington that week (temporary US Embassy personnel would fly out of New Zealand within 24 hours of Kirks death and the army were issued live ammunition in anticipation of possible public concern) and the CIA leadership at this time where in the grip of culture of Cold War zealotry.

December 10th 1974: National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests (NSSM200), also known as the “Kissinger Report”, was a national security directive completed by the United States National Security Council under the direction of Henry. It argues the developed world must not be allowed to catch up to the standard of living and consumption of resources enjoyed by the West and calls for control on the third world birth rate and food consumption.

1975 : Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam tris to assert his country’s autonomy and pushes back against US intelligence communities abuse in his nation. He is overthrown in a CIA and MI6 instigated constitutional crisis effectively an orchestrated coup. John Pilger’s investigation into the coup against Whitlam is described in full in his book, A Secret Country (Vintage), and in his documentary film, Other People’s Wars, which can be viewed here The US is assisted in keeping Whitlam in the dark by Leonce Kealey a CIA trained Australian analyst.

April 1976 Saudi Arms dealer (the Saudi go between the Saudi Royal family and western investors) fly’s into New Zealand looking to spend and hoping to make a deal with the newly elected Robert ‘Piggy’ Muldoon, a former corporal in military intelligence who worked with the American in Italy during WW2.

In my 2006 book State Secrets II I note;

On the surface, Queenstown is an idyllic alpine village on the edge of the majestic lake Wakatipu. The lake is known, according to one translation, as the ‘trough of monsters’. As you look at the hotels around the lake shore (none of which are owned any more by actual
New Zealanders), you look at the history of some of the world’s largest corporations, who are found as investors in these buildings. I believe the ‘trough of monsters’ translation to be an apt description. Indeed, my own experience of Queenstown, spread over twenty years, is, the
deeper you dive the uglier the ‘nasty bastards’ in this town become. For example, let’s begin with a name that should by now be very familiar, Adnan Khashoggi, whose links to Queenstown were something that I learnt about unexpectedly, when enjoying a beer in a Dunedin pub. As I sipped my tasty Emersons, one of the locals dropped a bombshell that had me coughing up my drink in shock. The incident took place following an article I had written the previous week, looking at the history of allegations that oil had been discovered in the Southern Basin, when the Texas Hunt brothers (Hunt Oil) first went looking for it back in the seventies.

This claim was denounced for more than thirty years by the very same N.Z. business papers whose reporters are now claiming that they had known that there was oil there all along, but that oil prices had not been, until recently, high enough to make drilling cost productive. It’s
a stance which is absolute fraud. No mainstream paper has ever (well not until very recently), reported, when on the few occasions before 2000, that the subject of oil in the southern basin came up, anything other than the position that Hunt had come up empty, that no oil was thought to be there. No business journalists that I know of has ever bothered to talk to the locals in Invercargill, the oil workers who worked on the Hunt exploration rigs in the seventies, or any of the other oil executives worldwide who have known of N.Z. oil deposits for years. Indeed, it was not until Mobil got involved in a court case (following a dispute over survey results) that the mainstream papers began to wake up to the reasons why a Shell Dutch Royal Petroleum spokesman in 2001, referred to N.Z. as the “jewel in their Asian
crown.”

Note these same journalists remain quiet on the closure of Marsden Refinery and the gas potential of New Zealand as we look instead to conflict metals mined from the sea and electricity grid line we no longer own as US investors like Black Rock & Van Guard have in past twenty years snapped up energy shares – but more on that later.

My fellow bar fly, in a bar fly voice not dissimilar to Barry Crump, dropped the line, “you know Khashoggi came to NZ in the seventies?”, before explaining how his brother had been an employee in Civil Aviation when “some time around ‘77”, Khashoggi “had a forty
minute meeting with Muldoon and flew out. The next week, news broke that Muldoon had just borrowed a shit load of money some where in the Middle East.”

Having years ago read an underground paper the Opal file, and recalling it had said something about Khashoggi and N.Z., I decided on impulse to see whether there was any truth in the dubious underground paper’s claims that Khashoggi had visited N.Z. On impulse, I made a call to Phillip ‘Scoop’ Chandler, of the Mountain Scene. Scoop was somewhat of a local legend. In Queenstown, a ‘snoozing’ Scoop can often be found in a Winnie the Pooh like stance,paws across chest, leaning back on a sofa or an arm chair at the far end of the bar, like someone’s dear old benevolent uncle after a long arduous bus ride. Quite some distance away, a whispered conversation could take place, and the next day, the same conversation would appear, word for word, in the Mountain Scene (known affectionately by locals as the Mt. Scream). There’s not much that happens on Scoop’s patch that he does not know about. Scoop is of the old school of journalism, genetically bred to have the hide of a rhino, the ears of a bat, the eyes of an eagle, and the compassion of a starving hyena who just found a bagful of kittens. The phrase ‘has the intellect but not the aptitude’, has never applied to Scoop, who with an old school approach, has taught more than one new visitor to Queenstown the truth regarding the old saying ‘loose lips sink ships’. Mine was an impulse that paid off. Scoop reported that Adnan Khashoggi had a 34% interest in the N.Z. based Travel Lodge (Which later becomes Scenic Circle run by Earl Hagerman) and had arrived in Queenstown some time in 1976 from Fiji. Scoop would additionally add that Khashoggi arrived “with a large entourage and a leggy blond; proceeded to stay for several days, ordering in a number of delicacies from overseas before shooting off, leaving the Travel Lodge staff in Queenstown with no idea of where to send the bill”. Armed with a date and the knowledge that in the seventies a millionaire Arabian arriving in N.Z. on his own private jet, would have constituted news, it was off to the archives I went. With an ‘I owe, I owe, its time to pay the bills you know’ attitude, I rolled up my sleeves and went digging.

Khashoggi’s Queenstown visit had, in fact, taken place on April 19 1976 (before eventually flying out of N.Z. via Auckland), according to the subsequent archive search. It took place, interestingly enough, not long after the Muldoon government had just released its “official confidence” in there being oil in the Southern Basin. A claim which Hunt Oil was trying to dismiss as unlikely (the papers in the area pointed out that Hunt’s Oil position may have been shaped by Muldoon’s attempts to make Hunt Oil pay an ‘outrageous’ $3 a barrel, or 25% of the price of oil, according to 1977 prices). Though what was really probably pissing off Hunt, was the fact that Muldoon was still refusing to publicly acknowledge that the N.Z. government even had a contract with Hunt. Following Khashoggi’s visit, odd things began to happen in N.Z. for at the time of Khashoggi’s visit, the rogue gun runner would note that N.Z. only exported $2.6 million to the Middle East and he was here “to change all that”, and change it he did. By 1980, three years later, N.Z. exports to Iran alone were worth more than $NZ 400 million. To repeat, 1976: $2.6 million exports to the entire continent; 1980: $400 million to Iran alone.

The pattern of Khashoggi’s influence in N.Z. is, in hindsight, fairly obvious. At the time of his brief press conference with kiwi journo’s, Khashoggi himself, noted that he was here to look at investing in “Dairy and Timber”. Sure enough, the following year, N.Z. entered into a joint shipping venture with Australia that aimed to service Bahrain, who was also looking to invest in N.Z. “dairy and timber industry”, in a deal which had been set up “the year before.”

November 9th 1977, Robert Muldoon takes off on a world trip, flying into the U.S. via Los Angeles, as the Opal file had correctly reported. Los Angeles, as it turns out, is the same city where Security Pacific National Bank (SPNB), allegedly owned by Khashoggi just happened
to be based. In the end, while I could find several direct references to Robert Anderson of Rockwell International (the firm whose directors also included the top share holder of shady BCCI Sheik Zayed), in relation to SPNB as the Opal File had claimed, this was not the case with
Khashoggi. However, in 1995, some time after the Opal File had been published, U.S. investigators discovered, during Operation Polar that SPNB had acted as a conduit for BCCI the first major Islamic Investment bank, set up in 1972, which Khashoggi had been intimately
involved with from its beginning. During the ‘77 U.S. visit, Muldoon, after visiting David Rockefeller (whom Muldoon would boast to Dunedin National supporter, Bill Bachop, that he “always stayed with the Rockefellers when he visited the U.S.”), left for Germany, launching a new shipping vessel as part of a N.Z.-Australian shipping deal, before coming home via Egypt
and Bahrain, where N.Z. was beginning a series of joint shipping ventures, again set up in 1977 at the time of Khahoggi’s whirlwind visit to N.Z.

1978: the OPEC oil crisis pushed oil prices sky high, amidst claims that Opec was responsible for manipulating oil prices, Hunt Oil left N.Z. The same year, Muldoon launched ‘Think Big’, an attempt at making N.Z. an industrial nation, which Muldoon admitted, cost N.Z. “a little bit of its sovereignty”, by borrowing heavily from such institutes as the IMF and the World bank. Everyone knows that, but what fewer people probably realise, is that the IMF does not itself
keep this money in some sort of giant piggy bank, but simply acts as the guarantor and broker of the loans which are provided by a third party. The mystery remains as to who was the third party and what was their motive for lending N.Z. a large sack of cash at a time when
internationally, all sane governments were tightening their fiscal belts. (Speaking to a RNZ reporter Richard Kerr Kerr seemed to think Kashoggi had provide bridge finance in return for us leaving our oil in the ground)

Not long after Khashoggi’s visit, N.Z. gave birth to its first ever case of organised white collar crime, the Gang of Twenty, led by John Victor Evans. John Victor Evans turned out to be the source of the first suspected case of N.Z. being used to launder arms money as well. In
fact, the reason why Keith Petersen, an investigator for the N.Z. Justice Department, had first begun the investigation of John Victor Evans and The Gang of Twenty, was that he believed the crime syndicate to be involved in a money laundering scheme. This scheme, according
to Petersen in a 1998 phone interview, had been for “either drugs or arms,” the source of the money originated from banks in the gulf of Arabia. Petersen was never able to identify beyond speculation what the real reason had been for the complicated flow of money backwards
and forwards between N.Z. and these Gulf banks. Yet, the major point to be understood here, is that while no one knows for what reason exactly the money was being laundered, it is clear that a process was being used, which had but one purpose: to turn ‘black money’ (unaccounted money), into ‘white money’ (legitimately accountable funds).” Later when we look at the parties calling Russia the aggressor this historic fact of who shaped Vanuatu money laundering history will come into its own.

1977: NZ Dairy Board, led by Sir Goodwood makes its first sales to Russian in more than 23 years. NZ Embassy in Saudi Arabia opens where it principal duties are to act a liaisons for the NZ Saudi Milk Company the export arm of NZ Dairy Board.

1977: Petrol crisis begins after OPEC, an Arab based lobbying, group restricts sales to the west in a bid to get higher royalty fee from western oil firms. It’s announced that Hunt Oil won’t be drilling for Oil in NZ Southern Basin near Bluff, in part because Muldoon is asking for an unheard of 25% royalties. As Muldoon visits USA looking for bridging finances for his proposed Think Big ‘NZ Industry and Energy infrastructure development program’ Robert Muldoon is photographed with Robert Anderson the operational head of Los Angeles South Pacific bank owned by arms dealer and World Wild Life Fund Club 1001 member Adnan Kashoggi.

1977: The total Soviet fish catch in New Zealand waters in 1977 was 123,000 tonnes – twice that taken by New Zealand vessels. Japanese ships were also fishing offshore. The 1977 cartoon above refers to an incident where the navy frigate Hawea chased away a Japanese squid-fishing vessel that had come within 12 nautical miles of the Taranaki coast. The boat had merely been seeking shelter from rough seas. In 1977 foreign vessels could legally fish 12 nautical miles offshore, but this changed the following year when New Zealand’s Exclusive Economic Zone was established, extending fishing grounds to 200 nautical miles offshore. This was part of the trade off done by Robert Muldoon where in exchange for recognition of the new EEZ we would open our water to foreign vessel and open our doors to private investors.

1978: NZ Economic Exclusion Zone is past which permits a foreign fishing firm to access NZ fishing stocks if they are in partnership with NZ. This recognised in turn by the conclusion of a New Zealand-USSR Fisheries Agreement, signed in Wellington by the Soviet Minister of Fisheries. Joint NZ Russian Fishing venture include Fletcher’s plus Sanford Limited and Amalgamated Limited, whose dominant shareholder is Sir William Douglas Goodwood. The venture is later extended to Amcal Fisheries, jointly owned by Talley’s of Motueka (and Goodwood) and members of the Yugoslavian fishing family the Velas.

1979: The Soviet Union deploys its SS20 missiles and NATO responds marking the start of a game of Soviet style brinkmanship aimed to force arms talk via radical offensive action.

1979- 1989 Afghanistan conflict wherein insurgent groups known collectively as the Mujahideen, as well as smaller Marxist–Leninist–Maoist groups, fought a nine-year guerrilla war against the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan (DRA) and the USSR throughout the 1980s, mostly in the Afghan countryside. The Mujahideen were variously backed primarily by the United States, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, and the United Kingdom; the conflict was a Cold war proxy war. Between 562,000 and 2,000,000 Afghans were killed and millions more fled the country as political refugees. The UN General Assembly passed a resolution protesting the Soviet intervention by a vote of 104 (for) to 18 (against), with 18 abstentions and 12 members of the 152-nation Assembly absent or not participating in the vote.

1980: Phoenix Foundation Michael Oliver allied with Jimmy Stevens of the New Hebrides Autonomy Movement in Vanuatu, which had been unsuccessful in recent elections. NHAM (or MANH) declared an independent Republic of Vemerana in the island of Espiritu Santo. The government of Vanuatu appealed for aid from Papua New Guinea, which sent a battalion of soldiers to stop the rebellion. During the attempt in Vanuatu, NPR described the Phoenix Foundation as “a sinister right wing organization”. Instituto del Tercer Mundo (Third World Institute), alleged “Jimmy Stevens received $250,000, arms and a radio from the Phoenix Foundation, an ultra-right US organization, in return for concessions to install a casino and, allegedly, cover for illicit activities from Stevens’ short lived Republic of Vemarana.”

1980’s: Dr John Laffin – a former soldier turned self-styled military historian – visited New Zealand during both the Muldoon and Lange days to state 134 that Islamic terrorists from Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley had placed “sleeper” agents in New Zealand for unspecified purposes.
Without corroborating this statement, he went on to predict the fall of Saudi Arabia at the hands of Islamic fundamentalists. Laffin presented himself as an independent observer, despite the fact that his visit to New Zealand was paid for by the Jerusalem-based International Christian Embassy, which is “dedicated to building relations between Christians
and Jews and between Israel and the rest of the world.”

1980: The fall of the Shah of Iran, the fall of the US embassy in Tehran, the CIA’s top Middle East analyst, Robert Ames, addresses senior intelligence officers at a meeting of the New Zealand External Intelligence Bureau, stating: “The Shah is gone – Saudi Arabia is next.” Ames pressed urgently for New Zealand to be self-sufficient in oil production. Soon afterwards, Mobil gained a synthetic fuel plant in Taranaki, on terms so favourable to the company that New Zealand is still paying for it today. (NZ Listener, 7 March and 18 April 1987). Pacifist President Jimmy Carter is disposed by far right hawks following the failure of the US rescue mission Operation Iron Claw following information being leaked to the press as part of Ronald Regan’s October Surprise.

April 18, 1983; Robert Ames, who was by then the CIA’s director of the Near East and South Asia analysis bureau, is chairing a meeting of regional CIA experts in a soundproof room at the US embassy in Beirut. A truck, laden with high explosive, crashed through the embassy gates
and slammed into the building. As well as the hundreds of casualties and wounded, the entire CIA’s Middle Eastern team including Ames was wiped out. Ames is no junior official. His visit to New Zealand was extremely important. To add jam to the bread, this Synfuel icon to Muldoon’s “Think Big” folly was constructed by a longtime CIA ally – the American construction giant Bechtel, in what would prove to be the one of the first command postings for “nuclear obsessed” Stephen Bechtel Jr, later the head of the corporation. Bechtel was also part of the JV2 consortium that handled the massive Marsden Point oil refinery extensions in 1982.

The bombing of the embassy and the marine barracks in Beirut combined with a failure by Regan’s White House staff to act on a tip off by the elite US military intelligence unit Intelligence service Activity (the 007’s of US military intelligence) begins a high level mole search by the US Department of Defence which will span over four decade and include the drama of Lockerbie and 9/11. It also leads to the complete eradication of all the CIA’s human intelligence and Middle East specialists in the region and the USA complete reliance on Israel for regional based human intelligence (the exception is the highly compromised State Department and the US Drug Enforcement Agency)

After successfully contesting a legal challenge by a former National Security Adviser to President Ronald Reagan, part time Queenstown resident and a former investor in Russia’s Yukos Oil (forced to sell his interest after Putin nationalised the Russian oil industry) Richard V Allen I noted in State Secret II; “DEADLINE’ then went on to write about the more documented nature of the ISA, namely their role in the attempted rescue of hostages seized during the 1979 overthrow of the Shah of Iran. After the disastrous failure of the first rescue mission, Operation Eagle Claw (though at this point, the ISA were known as the Foreign Operating Group, born from the Special Operation Group) a second rescue operation was planned, but never launched, due to a series of leaks to the press which “has since been traced to Allen”.

Allen contested this claim, replying, “Richard V. Allen was not responsible for any leak, either directly or indirectly”. This claim can again be challenged on a number of grounds. In the lead up to the 1979 Presidential elections, Richard V. Allen is known to have been the head and one of the chief strategists of a special action committee formed within Reagan’s campaign group, which became known under the banner of the October Surprise Group (San Jose Mercury News 12.4.1987 courtesy of Leigh Poitinger, News Research Director, San Jose Mercury news- see also New York Times 7.10.1980, 12.4.1987). All available public information makes it clear that one of Allen’s jobs in the October Surprise Group was to manage information (much of which was classified), coming from within the Carter administration. In many incidents where the information was detrimental to Carter, it was leaked to the press, these leaks culminated in a climate of fear within the Carter administration, which then prevented the plans for a second rescue attempt from going ahead, as the October Group had planned all along. In the case of the hostages and leaked material, Gary Sick, a former aide to the President Jimmy Carter, confirms Allen’s access to specific information and he writes, “Richard V. Allen…told me that one member of the rescue team contacted him and gave him a description of the second rescue plan. Shortly thereafter, the Reagan-Bush campaign launched a major publicity effort, warning that President Carter might be planning an October Surprise’ to obtain the release of the hostages prior to the election” (New York Times 15.4.1991).

The individual in question has been identified as Robert McFarlane, incidentally a director of SAFE Air aviation firm, (specialising in military avionics), in Blenheim, N.Z. Lieutenant Colonel Robert McFarlane is now widely cited as the source of material on the expected casualties of this second mission. The level at which McFarlane was deemed an asset to the Bush-Reagan camp, can be seen by the fact that when Allen had to resign, it was McFarlane who was chosen as his replacement as National Security Adviser to Reagan, where he ended up in the centre of what would be called the Iran Contra affair: the delivery of U.S. arms via Israel into Iran, in exchange for hostages which later evolved into the delivery of arms to insurgent movements (Islamic and far right) worldwide.

1980’s: The Robert Muldoon David Lange Government being to embroil New Zealand in the NATO based USA’s dirty secret wars;

The Men From Minerva – Where Ever They Go Things Seems To Go Boom! The Colonel & The Major.

An example of this included in my book State Secrets (1999) was Project Democracy which involved Richard V Allen, former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser, Muldoon cabinet minister Hugh Templeton ( known as the White Russian due to his marriage to a White (aristocratic) Russian) CEO of the Christchurch Press Humphrey Rolleston.

Project Democracy, outed in a 1987 TVNZ Eye Witness special report, members (along with other cabinet minister and high ranking military officials such as Colonel Bruce Meldrum), Hugh Templeton and Rolleston could also be found as directors of SM Andrews an arm dealing firms whose subsidiary would include Minerva Security a mercenary outfit led by former British SAS and Colonial special forces who served under the apartheid era regime of South Africa and Mozambique fighting proxy wars against USSR backed indigenous forces seeking Independence in mineral rich Africa. These former Cold War warrior remain active in New Zealand top level private security industry to this day.

Rolleston and his partner the later Alan Hubbard interest would also include Helicopter New Zealand, which would market itself as the world leading specialist in helicopter gun ships. In addition to Rolleston and Hubbard Scale Trading links to Russia and covert intelligence would include Scales role in shipping arms to Russia during WW2 for the Merchant Navy (as detailed in the companies own autobiography) .

1981 World Health Organisation establish The Codex Alimentarius is founded a collection of internationally recognized standards, codes of practice, guidelines, and other recommendations published by the Food and Agriculture Organization relating to food, food production, food labeling, and food safety. Critic hit back it series of regulation aimed at minimising safety requirement for corporations.

1982, Reagan agreed to resume strategic nuclear arms reduction talks, dubbed START. The initial U.S. START proposal required much greater cuts in Soviet than in U.S. forces, especially land-based missiles, which comprised the bulk of the Soviet strategic nuclear arsenal.

1985 to 1992:12,500 foreigners were trained in bomb-making, sabotage and urban guerrilla warfare in Afghan camps the CIA helped to set up to “drag Russia into its own Vietnam” (Zbigniew Brzezinski) . Rambo 3 is dedicated to the “brave freedom fighters of the Mujaheddin”.

February 1985, journalists at the New Zealand Listener coined the term Rogernomics, a portmanteau of “Roger” and “economics” – by analogy with “Reaganomics”, to describe the neoliberal economic policies followed by Roger Douglas.

1985: Gorbachev and Reagan left the Geneva Summit in October without a nuclear arms reduction agreement. Both sides had agreed on the importance of offensive weapons reduction, but disagreement over Reagan’s proposed Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) proved to be an insurmountable obstacle in the negotiations

1985: Project Democracy VIP Ray Cline, former deputy director of the CIA and head of the
US State Department’s intelligence service (which is closely affiliated with the World Anti Commuist League) visit his “friends in New Zealand”. This would coincide with the establishment of a special ANZUS project, in conjunction with the Georgetown Centre for
Strategic and International Studies, affectionately known as UCIA. Wellington Confidential of January 1985 reported that Cline and Vasey were planning to visit New Zealand in early 1985 –
Vasey definitely visited for the Pacific Forum meeting that year, as well as a meeting with Goldcorp’s Ray Smith. Wishart, in The Paradise Conspiracy, reports another visit by Cline in
early 1986 and, in a subsequent discussion with me, says Cline has established social contacts with New Zealand businessmen. Precisely when Cline graced New Zealand with his presence is
irrelevant – the project did come into existence, proving to have close affiliations with the Centre for Independent Studies. The ANZUS project would also include the legendary Dr Henry
Kissinger, Richard Nixon’s former Secretary of State and head of the National Security Council under Lyndon Johnson; Zbigniew Brzezinski, head of President Jimmy Carter’s National Security Council and a big fan of Afghan “freedom fighters”; and CIA ‘honorary stooge’ Malcolm Fraser.
The local talent would include WACL members Dr Dalton and Bruce Larsen whose magazine Heed assistant editor is David Crawford, a Christchurch City Council employee and spokesman for the 1970s version of the National Front. Gems from Heed include: “We have been laid low by a gangrenous infection that has been mortifying the blood cells of the West since the emancipation of Jewry in the 19th century. For years it has been eating away at our
arts, our laws … Now it is eating at our vitals.” Exhibit B is Larsen’s statement, made literally in the company of Nazis and right-wing terrorists during a WACL conference, on whether Chile was a democracy: “Certainly it is…”. And for Exhibit C (from the same conversation): “I do not believe in democracy for subversive leftist elements.” When Larsen was in a similarly rational mood, he would defend the notion of racial superiority. Larsen’s view of the world would be fit only for a Monty Python sketch if it wasn’t for the fact that such schemes like Project Democracy were full of people like WACL chairman General Singlaub (Reagan’s Contra mercenary specialist), who stated during his inauguration as chairman that “terrorism was an acceptable form of political action when applied to (his definition of) the left”.

1985; Perestroika (/ˌpɛrəˈstrɔɪkə/; Russian: перестройка) reformation within the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) widely associated with CPSU general secretary Mikhail Gorbachev and his glasnost (meaning “openness”) policy reform. Glasnost was taken to mean increased openness and transparency in government institutions and activities in the Soviet Union (USSR). Glasnost reflected a commitment of the Gorbachev administration to allowing Soviet citizens to discuss publicly the problems of their system and potential solutions. It follows on from the death of Brezhnev in 1982, when most of Russia elite understood that the Soviet economy was in trouble and could no longer afford the US USSR arms race.

February 1986 sinking of the Soviet cruise liner Mikhail Lermontov in the Marlborough Sounds. The ship had hit rocks while under the control of the Picton harbour-master and chief pilot. Everyone on board survived except a crew member, and the liner sits still at the bottom of Te Anamāhanga/Port Gore. An inquiry was quickly held into the sinking. Every day, a man with a striking resemblance to Putin sat at the back of the courtroom. 

1987: The Iran–Contra affair, often referred to as the Iran–Contra scandal, the McFarlane affair, or simply Iran–Contra, was a political scandal in the United States that occurred during the second term of the Reagan Administration. Senior administration officials secretly facilitated the sale of arms, in exchange for hostages, to the Khomeini government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was the subject of an arms embargo. The administration hoped to use the proceeds of the arms sale to support (with weapons and far right mercenaries) the Contras in Nicaragua. Under the Boland Amendment, further funding of the Contras by the government had been prohibited by Congress. Repeated allegation that the supply line is linked to drug trafficking will surface in the 1980’s and eventually be vindicated in 2014 with the release of Kill the Messenger the life story of reporter Gary Webb who first broke the storey only to have his life and reputation promptly destroyed.

1988 Fiji Coup II: Eastern bloc weapons are used by coup leader Brigadier Sevetti Rabuka (who also played a part in the Solomon 2000 coup) to justify his second attempt to rule by the gun. Weapons turn out to have been shipped by Quintex, the firm used by Khashoggi during the Iran Contra affair to ship arms to Iran and the Mujahedin in Afghanistan. Kashoggi until his death held extensive interests in Fiji including a luxury resort – the Wayaka club. Fiji is described at on point at the transit lounge for BCCI smuggled gold and arms.

21 December 1988, Lockerbie explodes over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, it was destroyed by a bomb that had been planted in the suit case of ISA agent Major Charles Dennis McKee and Matthew Gannon who were part of fact-finding team sent to Lebanon to gather evidence that that a mole located with the CIA/DEA was prolonging the hostage crisis warning the Iranian hostage takers whenever their dragnet closed in. The CIA’s Deputy Chief assigned to Beirut three Defense Intelligence officers, including McKee and Gannon to deliver a report on the CIA’s role in narco trafficking, and the impact on terrorist financing and the hostage crisis. In short, everyone with direct knowledge of CIA kickbacks from narco trading died on Pan Am 103. Numerous warning were given to VIP not to get in board that flight. Nobody told Charles McKee or Matthew Gannon. but other military officials and diplomats got pulled off the flight. Mckee case is switched in Cyprus by a member of the Al Kassar ( The M15 informant whom Oliver North had brought most of the weapons destine for the Contras off) heroin network.

1989: Three years after the sinking of the Mikhail Lermitov the Waihopai Station, a secure communication facility, is opened in Blenheim, Marlborough, run by New Zealand‘s Government Communications Security Bureau and it allies. 

1990: The Gulf War was an armed campaign waged by a United States-led coalition of 35 nations against Iraq in response to the Iraqi invasion and annexation of Kuwait

1991 Pacific Express, a New Zealand-based airline (discussed later in this book) that undertook
contracts in PNG for Evergreen Aviation – a former CIA-owned airline (which also had links with the DEA and retains its connections to the US) set up shop in New Zealand having being based in Lugarno Switzerland until it is outed by Russian authorities supplying arms for mineral concession to Islamic militia and African war lords guilt of genocide. The head of the SFO Charles Sturt will maintain in his book that firm which under takes work for Care Australia (CEO Malcolm Fraser) in Somalia is a front for CIA operations. TVNZ links it extensively to the supply of Eastern European weapons to Islamic militia and African war lords. The firms directors can be linked to Southern World Airlines an Air American style airline which can be tied to cocaine shipment in the USA.

 1991, Presidents George H. W. Bush and Mikhail Gorbachev met in Moscow and finally signed the first START agreement, which required the two countries to reduce their total number of nuclear warheads and bombs by one third. Later that year, however, the collapse of the Soviet Union raised doubts about the efficacy of the treaty, as Soviet nuclear weapons and delivery systems were spread out between three republics and Russia, each of which was now independent of Soviet control. One by one, the republics ratified the START treaty and agreed either to destroy the weapons housed in their territory or turn them over to Russia. 

1991: Doomsday clock moved the clock to 17 minutes to midnight based on the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty signed by the Soviet Union and the United States.

1991: budget, dubbed the “Mother of all Budgets”, formed the catalyst if economic reforms known in the media as “Ruthanasia” the continued advance of the Neoliberal model of privatisation and asset sales of critical infrastructure introduced under Rogernomics.

1992 New Zealand United Contractor David Morris wins a $83 million contract with the United Nations to feed 29,000 peacekeepers. They had won the contract on the back of their successful work for the UN mission in Cambodia. But Somalia quickly turned into a nightmare for the Morris family. First Morris’s 21-year-old son, Tyson, was shot dead in a fight with Somali bandits, along with two other staff. Then David Morris was kidnapped twice and held for ransom. Shortly before the UN pulled out of Somalia, in April 1995, he was captured again, and this time murdered, apparently by Islamic militants. His partner tells me Morris has run foul of their former ally the CIA (Morris lawyer is James Woolsey) after refusing to relinquish a fresh water bay and air strip at Bao Gasso which Morris was developing for local fishermen. An area McVickers states the CIA had market for future operations. During peace keeping operations Australian based charity CARE Australia will provide Australasian military intelligence with assistance.

1992: Taranaki born Stephen Jennings the future head of the New Zealand Business Round table (New Zealand Initiative) Went to Russia in 1992 with Credit Suisse First Boston on a six-week assignment to work on the country’s first privatisation model, the purchase of the Bolshevik Biscuit Factory along with co-financier Mikhail Friedman.

Jennings is one of the key players in the smart cities being developed in Africa, such as Eko Atlantic and Tatu organisation, in partnership with the Clinton Foundation which Australia and NZ have together donated 50 million to date (along with 150 million for climate change by NZ and 50 million for development in Africa from CF spooked chocked partner CARE Australia who provided cover for Russian Antonov flown under the name Pacific Express hired to deliver aid which TVNZ reported as in fact owned by arms smuggler operating out of Auckland ). Jennings is the biggest investor in Rendevour Africa which is developing seven new smart cities across the continent: two in Nigeria (Alaro City and Jigna), another two in Ghana (Appolonia City and King City), and individual cities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia and Kenya. Overall, they cover 120 million sq m in total.

Jennings is also the chair of the New Zealand Initiative (formerly known as the Business Round Table), the chief lobby group who drive Local Government New Zealand. LGNZ is a curious neo liberal intervention of Rogernomics (whom Jennings credits as one of his muse back when Jennings was privatising NZ Rail for NZ Treasury) which has a minister but no actual ministry and is supported financially by and large by the critical infrastructure industry who can now be found as the beneficiaries of Covid and government funded economic stimulation package which our government has borrowed from offshore merchant banks.

It comes as New Zealand pass the three water amalgamation legislation, the State Sector Reform bill, all of which empowers and enrich those the government now seeks to employ to manage it critical infrastructure and evolving smart city technology. The very same parties who can be found pushing water privatisation and smart cities ‘solutions’ to sustainability and climate change in New Zealand as meanwhile US dominated firms snap up the critical infrastructure here and in Australia need to make those proposal affordable to the public. In Africa smart cities have turned into a recipe for corruption and debt manufacturing and have being used as trojan horse by which the private sector can privatise and create a monopoly over public resources that address housing, food and water security.

February 26, 1993: a truck bomb exploded in a basement-level parking garage under the World Trade Center complex. Six people were killed and more than 1,000 were injured in what was at that time the deadliest act of terror perpetrated on U.S. soil. The World Trade Center bombing plot began in the months before September 1, 1992, when two of the main conspirators, Ahmad Ajaj and Ramzi Yousef, arrived in the USA from Pakistan. Upon detecting his poorly falsified Swedish passport, customs agents detained Ajaj and confiscated his suitcase, which contained bombing manuals and anti-American propaganda Yousef, traveling on an Iraqi passport bearing the name Abdel Basit Mahmoud, requested political asylum He was arrested for entering the United States without a visa but was released on his own recognizance and allowed into the country. While Ajaj waited in jail, Yousef began a plan that aimed at toppling the twin towers of the World Trade Center with co-conspirator FBI informant Mohammad Salameh. After ward Ramzi boast he will comeback and finish the job off.

COLD WAR TWO BEGINS – PART TWO:

1992: The Russian Space Force is formed as a branch of the Russian Aerospace Forces, that provides aerospace warning, air and space sovereignty, and other related protection for Russia space interest. 

1993 Russian constitutional crisis:, also known as the 1993 October Coup, Black October, the Shooting of the White House or Ukase 1400, was a political stand-off between the Russian president Boris Yeltsin and the Russian parliament that was resolved by military force. This marks the rise of Putin and the return if Russia ‘strongman’ culture. Putin begins to nationalise asset brought by the west at cheap prices by targeting western interest, intent on privatising Russia critical infrastructure and natural resources, such as Yukos Oil, guilty of tax evasion.

1993: A call for further reductions in strategic weapons. START II therefore translated to an overall fifty percent reduction in nuclear weapons, limiting each country to a total of between 3,000 and 3,500 strategic weapons.

1993: The American Australian Council is a project of the U.S. based American Australian Education Leadership Foundation (AAELF), a 501(c)(3) organization that has promoted bi-lateral relations between the United States and Australia since 1993 advancing US interest in the Pacific as part of what would later be called the New American Century.

1994: The First Chechen War begins when Russian forces entered Chechnya to restore constitutional order to the nation at risk of becoming a failed state.

1994: Ruth Richardson leaves Parliament in 1994 becomes a consultant and company director specialising in governance, energy and water reforms, advancing the Neo Liberal privatisation public asset sales model as pioneered in New Zealand under Rogernomics & Ruthonomic.

1995: Pakistan leader Benazhir Butto is clear that she has no illusions as to who is behind the promotion of Islamic terrorism and the 1993 World Trade Centre attack. For just before her visit to the US, she holds a press conference where she stated: “The question that arises is, who was the mastermind that saw that the World Trade Center should be bombed and that I should be eliminated from the [1993] elections…? I would feel that it is those individuals who were involved in the Afghan jihad because they were then brainwashed [literally ( author’s note)] to believe that it was the duty of any Muslim to spread Islam through terror.” It would seem that her remarks and subsequent comments, which, in political speech, translate as “I have a secret: shall I reveal it?”, hit a nerve.

The arms embargo, imposed upon Pakistan for Benazir Bhutto’s continuation of Pakistan’s nuclear program, was lifted. The slim majority of US Congress’s agreement to do so indicates the presence of severe lobbying upon the issue. As a consequence, Pakistan will now receive delivery of US$368 million in military equipment purchased under the Zia administration, and the revival of tens of millions of dollars worth of economic aid and US loans. It shall probably also mean greater International Monetary Fund- provided assistance. As far as Congress is aware, Pakistan is not required to do anything in return. The sudden goodwill towards Pakistan makes it clear that interested parties do not want the issue of the New York Trade Center bombing to resurface-in particular, the US intelligence services’ connection to the accused Egyptian and Pakistani bombers.

On 12 December 1995, The Australian reported that Newt Gingrich, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, had intervened on behalf of CIA “and other intelligence agencies” wishes “to push for new covert action programs to destabilise Iran’s government”. It further reported that Mr Gingrich “sees Iran as the Evil Empire and believes strongly that the US should oust Iran’s current government”. Finally, informed sources have stated that Mr Gingrich would like to see such action take place before January 1996.

1995: Jennings returns to Russia with bags of cash and begins buying former state assets for a 10th of their market value. Purchase include the Bolshevik Biscuit Factory with co financier Mikhail Friedman of Alfa Bank. Jenning’s bank Renaissance Capital became Russia’s top brokerage firm, It investments included being the Ukraine’s biggest land-holder and Russia’s biggest forest estate holder, with 12,000 employees that provides credit cards and personal loans.

1995 to 1996: a handful of oligarchs took control of Yukos, a vast Russian energy company with huge oil and gas reserves. They achieved control by paying $600m to the government officials who were at that point running Yukos and managing the privatisation process, and by rigging the privatisation auctions. The Yukos oligarchs then went on to evade billions (USD) in tax by routing oil production through Russia’s low tax regions, despite having no operations in these places. When presented with a tax demand they rapidly shifted further Yukos cash into tax havens overseas, including by paying an unprecedented $2bn dividend to themselves. Following this Yukos went into liquidation. Through this method Yukos siphoned off some $800 million over 36 weeks, in one case. This pillaging was impoverishing whole regions of Russia.

Renaissance Capital was involved in selling Yukos’ assets, while reporting to the U.S. government via Ambassador William Burns (a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency) on the sales progress.

Its shareholders include Mr Yukos Oil’s former chief Mikhai Khodorkovsky who transferred his Yukos stake in 2005 to his former Russian-Israeli business partner Leonid Nevzlin, who now stands to be the main beneficiary of the compensation. Mr Nevzlin, based in Israel, heads the shareholders’ group called GML. Mr Khodorkovsky now runs a US backed pro-democracy activist group called Open Russia, which was blacklisted as an “undesirable organisation” by the Russian authorities in 2017.

Yukos shareholders include Richard V Allen the former American National Security Adviser, who lives part time in Queenstown and who acted as the ‘bagman’ for Project Democracy a political action fund raising group which sought to assist the Iran Contra as the CIA run illegal operations, raise capital used to buy black-market Russian arms and fight proxy wars against the Soviet Union. Project Democracy contra funds would later be linked to Mexican drugs dealers and organised crime groups during the 1980s. This is not long after Vanuatu was first targeted by the CIA to be a money laundering hub for shady money from the agencies mates which my 1990s and 2000’s books State Secret document in relation to its links to National MPs such as Ross Meurant, a former policeman turned arms dealer, who was also a shareholder in Prok Bank Vanuatu along with former KGB officers Larissa and Victor Shumilov in 1995.

1995:Prok would be established in Auckland New Zealand with director former arms dealer Right of Centre (ROC) party head and ex MP Ross Meurant, New Zealand Dairy Executive and munition broker Ian Robertson former KGB officer Victor and Larissa Shumilov. August 1995: Former arms salesman and National MP Ross Meurant refused to comply with a directive from the Prime Minister to relinquish a position that he had as a director of a Russian-owned bank (PROK) domiciled in Vanuatu run by Ian Robertson and former KGB types and was subsequently dismissed from the Executive. Meurant nevertheless continued as a coalition partner of the government as his support at the time was critical to its survival.

1995: NATO & UN Peace Keepers arms and trains Islamic and Neo Nazi militia fighting in Bosnia. More than 95% of weapons enter war zone come from top UN Security Council members. Soldiers representing the peace mission were, so the reports continued, using the former Yugoslavia to run drugs from East to West. Ukrainian and Turkish UN representatives would bring in heroin from the Caucasus, which was then uplifted by US ‘peacekeepers’ and members of the French Foreign Legion (very much a right-wing faction with ties to both the terrorist organisation the OAS and European Neo-Nazi movement) serving in Bosnia at this time. A third of the Foreign Legionnaires were said at this time to be of Serbian Croatian extract (from The French Foreign Legion by Tony Gearty).

December 1995 January 1996: When I filed a piece I had been commissioned to write on Western intelligence’s role in creating the myth of Islamic fundamentalism and its relation to fascist organisations with neo-Nazi ideology (A State of Terror, Nexus, February-March 1996), I cited the existence of such an arms pipeline and New Zealand’s possible connections to such activities. Arms donated legally by such countries to the Bosnian arms mission (following the uplifting of the arms embargo, when the US took over the role of peacekeeping from the UN) included 840 AT-4 light anti-tank weapons, 80 M-113A2 armoured personnel carriers equipped with machineguns and ammunition, 45 M-60A3 battle tanks equipped with machineguns and ammunition, 116 M114 155mm howitzers, 24 10kW generators, 15 UH-1H helicopters, JANUS and BBS computer hardware and software (in all probability equipped with PROMIS at no extra
charge), 1000 M-60 machineguns, 732 AN/PRC -126 hand-held radios with batteries, 46,100 M-16 rifles, 4100 tactical telephones and 400 sets of binoculars.

April1996: Los Angeles Times reports a covert arms network, led by Osama 2IC Dr Ayman al- Zawahri sponsored by the Clinton administration, aimed at arming the Bosnian Muslims and their Croatian allies (who, for their assistance in the pipeline, received a 30 percent cut of the profits). The story reported how the Clinton administration had “encouraged” Bosnia’s Muslim allies, including Iran, to provide weapons to Bosnia without informing Congress of this particular line of policy. The administration, when faced with the evidence, maintained that it had not been involved – it had simply given “the green light” for such activities to occur (despite a UN-implemented arms embargo on the region), with the actual parties running the network being Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Iran and Israel. In other words, every country bar the wild cards New Zealand and Iran, listed by my own sources (
Indonesian Defence Force-associates) I had used for my Nexus article which predate the LA time report by four months.

1997 Labour MP Mike Moore’s make gangs a public issue. The sudden emergence of
skinheads as the number one news story was assisted by a spate of “skinhead related attacks” within Christchurch, including an attack on a Somalian woman and ending with the attack on an African male at Sumner beach. The gentleman, who coincidentally turned out to be the head of the Christchurch Africa Association, was set upon by two skinheads who scarper, leaving Police to charge a group of “petrol heads” who had gathered to watch the “entertainment”. The attack, which was said to have occurred for over ten minutes, took place within sight of a Police vehicle, but unfortunately the Police didn’t realise what was happening, and did not intervene until the original instigators of the attack had fled. The African victim’s rescuers were, in fact, an off duty Police officer and civilian whose own brother had been slain in a racially-motivated killing the year before. Subsequent investigations discovered that the Stormtroopers Gang could be linked to the National Front, led by a skinhead working for the Christchurch City Council who was being paid to rehabilitate skinheads. For his work, the skinhead received a grant of $15,000 from the Christchurch council and another $35,000 from the Prime Minister’s Office Crime Prevention Authority. That Charity The New Way Trust would be over seen by National Front founder Kyle Chapman and continue to relieve government funding until 2014 when question were raised over expenditure. This incident forms a published (1999) foot note in State Secrets in relation to reports me and future city councillor Yarni Yohansen are investigating elating to known MPs hiring out racially orientated individuals to carry out terror attacks to further the politicians ambitions.

1997: The launch of the a neoconservative think tank based in Washington, D.C. that focused and advances a right wing based United States foreign policy made up on right wing hawks including Richard V Allen, Dick Cheney, John Bolton, CIA director James Woolsey. 1999: Seattle World Trade Organisation (WTO) riots take place later made famous in The Battle For Seattle a movie dramatized account of the World Trade Organisation meeting scheduled to take place in Seattle in 1999 and the mobilisation of the anti-globalisation protest movement whose actions against globalised mass privatisation and Codex Ailmentus (food and medicine corporate monopolies) saw the meeting abandoned. The WTO is undemocratic of organisation whose policies were developed alongside the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, who with the US government form a bloc referred to as the Washington consensus. In this way global policy is made on behalf of multinational corporations based in the developed countries. Under this “consensus”, developing countries are forced to abandon their own development plans and instead open their markets to produce from the developed world. A 2009 review of the movie notes “Self-reliance is frowned upon, even in agriculture where cheap subsidised food from the developed world is flooded on to local markets in developing countries, forcing small producers out of business and handing land and production over to corporations. Conditions of loans from the IMF and World Bank require countries to privatise essential services with contracts for the likes of water and electricity handed over to the international corporations with a profit-first, service-second model. Prices for basic services inevitably rise and are out of reach of the poorest who need the services the most. Similarly in areas such as health and education. WTO policies have increased trade, and Moore produces fairyland figures to claim that standards of living are rising as a result. For the urban middle-classes this is true but for the poorest people everywhere, the picture is bleaker than ever. World Without Borders is effectively a continuation of Kissinger NSM200 as advanced by the New American Century.

August 1999 to April 2009: The Second Chechen War took place in Chechnya and the border regions of the North Caucasus between the Russian Federation and the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Russian authorities asserted that bombings in Moscow and other cities were linked to Chechen militants (Critics maintain the bombings were the work of Russia Intelligence) . Then-Prime Minister Vladimir Putin led the military response against Chechnya.

January 1, 2004: Denver International Airport US Federal agents uncover 400 spark gaps used in triggering nuclear detonations involving rogue bank BCCI (a regular supplier of military hardware to Pakistan military), a Jewish Russian arms dealer and a net work of former WWII Nazis, who develop nuclear weapons for rogue states. BCCI used a number of shell companies, both within Pakistan and abroad, as BCCI employed their own network of agents, aircraft, boats, to buy steal and transport materials used in making nuclear weapons. 2005: Kyrgyzstan‘s Tulip Revolution. In most but not all cases, massive street-protests followed disputed elections or requests for fair elections. In 2014 they were awarded an unprecedented $50bn by an arbitral tribunal comprising three arbitrators – an amount equivalent to more than 20% of the Russian government‘s annual spending budget in 2016. These awards were overturned by The Hague District Court in 2016.

Flags of convivence were flying on the Moldavian leased flagged ships being used to smuggle in arms into nations under UN embargo such as Libya such as MV Amazon State Secrets II notes;

“International Organisation And Operations -A Preliminary Analysis’, by Peter Chalk (– Canadian Security Intelligence Service 17.3 000/commentary No.77) “the N.Z. registered ship, the Amazon” as a “pigeon”; a vessel used to transport arms and other contraband”.

The Weekend Herald investigations by Eugene Bingham shows the Amazon regularly changed its flags being at one time registered in Singapore, but is now registered in Liberia. Before noting that “There are New Zealand connections with the group’s shipping network, a fleet that is believed to ferry explosives and arms.” She then quotes “a Canadian Security Intelligence Service report” saying the Tigers “run a secretive fleet of ships through various front companies. The fleet includes at least 10 freighters equipped with sophisticated radar and satellite communication technology. While the ships mostly carry legitimate commercial goods such as tea and concrete, they also transport explosives, arms and ammunition to the terrorist group the Tigers. Among the ships linked to the Tigers, the report names one it says flew under a New Zealand flag”.

This is also supported by Andrew Mwangura who heads the watchdog group East African Seafarers Association. Mwangura says ships believed to be carrying arms for terror groups and war lords have in the pass being flags of convenience leased to New Zealand based shelf companies. It included those believed to have supplied Iran Somalian pirates who in turn will target ships for clients with a network of informer reaching from South Africa and into the gulf of Arabia.

2008: The Altimo Foundation charity appoints Michael Moore the former Christchurch MP, who became New Zealand Prime Minister before being appointed to top role in several international organisations including the WTO, UN special envoy on migration as well as being New Zealand Ambassador to Washington in 2010, during the Obama administration.

Moore was made ambassador the same year he accepted the chair of the Altimo Foundation and was made a member of the Trilateral Commission member and a member of New Zealand top government advisory board the Privy Council. The Trilateral Commission is a non-governmental policy discussion group closely associated with organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations which are used to shape public opinion and influence western media. Altimo patron Altimo Holdings & Investments Ltd. is a British Virgin Islands company based in Cypress. A majority of its shares are owned by CTF Holdings, a Gibraltar limited liability headed by Vladimir Ashurkov which backs Alexei Anatolievich Navalny an anti Putin Russian opposition leader, lawyer, and anti-corruption activist. Navalny came to international prominence by organizing anti-government demonstrations and running for office to advocate reforms against corruption in Russia, and against President Vladimir Putin and his government. Altimo Foundation is also named in the Paradise Paper data base, which has unearthed large scale money laundering and tax evasion.

DARK ANGEL RISING – Sometimes The Good Guys Catch A Break.

2008: Russian aircraft tied to Saudi Russian affiliated arms dealers transport vehicles to New Zealand Taupo Motor Race series where Helen Clark ( A Team Emirates America’s Cup ambassador) would met one of Key’s original backers tech entrepreneur (and armoured car collector )Alan Gibbs plus Arab go between for UK and Saudi high tech arms deals Tony Teixeira. In addition to meeting other New Zealand businessmen and tech entrepreneurs including Alan Gibbs. Teixeria is a partner to Adnan Kashoggi, Russian arms dealer Victor Bout and the real life inspiration for the movie Blood Diamonds.

2008: John Key a Merill Lynch merchant banker become New Zealand’s PM supported by Stephen Jennings and other New Zealand members of the Business Round Table (now called the New Zealand Institute) including Alan Gibbs. Jennings had made his billions after he had established Renaissance Capital Moscow after raising capital with his former Credit Suisse Colleagues and ruthless exploiting the opportunity Perestroika had presented western merchant bankers. Those able to buy newly privatised critical infrastructure cheaply in a cash poor post cold war Russia.

2009: Russian New Zealand laundering incident would see John Key promise to write a report and if he did he did little else. As was the case when New Zealand emerged prominently in later banks leak which incriminated numerous corporations and western politicians for tax evasions, laundering criminal proceeds and other acts of sleaze. Ironically many of these leaks which have incriminated western parties have also being attributed to Russian intelligence obtained through hacking. Those involved in the 2009 money laundering affair, which saw Ortis the Five Eyes traitor being hand pick by his superior (whom Ortis colleagues say were deliberately ignoring red flags) to ‘investigate’ it John Key styles, included American bankers who previously worked in US special forces and who have being in the heart of Vanuatu tax haven banking since the 1980’s Santos Rebellion. Back when a coup was launched on the island by a shadow US group known as the Phoenix Foundation who wanted to establish a money laundering hub who could be linked to many other well known names that have featured in CIA scandals including the Iran Contra Affair and the CIA’s assassination program Operation Phoenix.

The laundering ring also included transactions involving Renaissance Moscow, a merchant bank begun by the man who helped bankroll John Key’s stint as Prime Minister (following Keys career in Merill Lynch) Stephen Jennings formerly of Credit Suisse and before that the New Zealand Treasury Department. The head of Renaissance at the time is named Igor Sagiryan with Yuri Sagaidak, a former KGB general named as the vice president of Renaissance Capital. Later events show Renaissance who had enjoyed good relations with Russia was in the business of diddling both Russia and the USA or at the very less became a vehicle which facilitated such crimes.

Igor Sagiryan was born in Tbilisi in 1952, graduated from Moscow State University and completed a joint post-graduate program of the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies and Harvard University. In 1987, he headed the department of press and information at the Committee for Youth Organizations of the USSR. In 1988–1989, he worked as a consultant at the International Department of the President of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. In 1991, Sagiryan helped Vladimir Putin launch a foreign bank subsidiary. A further two ex FSB operatives and Renaissance employee were accused by the FBI hacking 500 million Yahoo email accounts in method closely resembling the Microsoft hack (while Wikileaks shows a record of corrupt US officials, within the Clinton administration, using Yahoo account to send email with sensitive information despite the Yahoo hack being common knowledge).

The same year a researcher working for Kaspersky further discovered Stuxnet, the US-Israeli worm that wrecked nearly a thousand Iranian centrifuges and became the world’s first openly acknowledged cyberweapon. Kaspersky’s anti-hackers would also expose a second weaponized computer program, which they dubbed Flame. It was subsequently revealed to be another US-Israeli operation aimed at Iran.

US court papers have called this the so-called “Magnitsky money” – a £150m tax fraud scheme in Russia tied to Renaissance Capital. Hermitage Capital was the largest foreign investment fund in Russia until 2005, when he was expelled from the country and Hermitage’s offices were raided. It is poignant to note when assessing Sagiryan loyalties to Russia that when Sagiryan was confronted over the Hermitage tax irregularities he urges the matter not be pursued through the authorities, (which Sagiryan as a Russian spy would not fear) but instead file complaints “unofficially” with his Sagiryan’s own contacts in the FSB (formerly the KGB) and to let Sagiryan quietly settle the matter. Even his critics admit they were at the time uncertain as to whether they were dealing with the FSB or the Russian mafia whose loyalties belong not to the Kremlin but the highest bidder and whose influence within government at times exceeds that of the actual government such is their reach and clout.

Sergei Magnitsky was an auditor at a Moscow law firm when he discovered what he said was a massive fraud by Russian tax officials and police officers according to Hermitage CEO William Bowder. After reporting the alleged theft of $230m (£150m) to the authorities, he was himself detained in 2008 on suspicion of aiding tax evasion and died in custody in November 2009. He acted as a legal adviser for London-based Hermitage Capital Management (HCM), where colleagues insist the case against him was fabricated to make him halt his investigations. Or at less that the version told by Bill Bowder which has being accepted as gospel by the same media peddling the Russian hack story who are the same people who accepted Iraq had weapons of mass destruction becuase the US intelligence community said so.

Court documents show how alleged wire transfers from the Russian organised crime group going into the UK bank account of Renaissance Capital – a Russian investment banking firm, which has offices in London. The US attorney’s office of New York said the organised Russian crime group, along with corrupt Russian government officials, “engaged in a broad pattern of money laundering in order to conceal the proceeds of the fraud scheme”.

Again no one is doubting corrupt Russians were involved but the question is were the Russian involved pro Putin or anti Putin? On November 22, 2019, German news magazine Das Spiegel did not think so and it published an article in which it claimed Browder accusations concerning the “Magnitsky Case”, “do not withstand thorough examination”. The English version appeared on November 26, 2019. After Browder filed a complaint against this article with chief editorship of Der Spiegel and the German Press Council, Der Spiegel published a further article, releasing its evidence and emphasising its stance on the matter.

The lead by Bidder says: “When the US imposes sanctions for human rights violations, they invoke the case of one prisoner allegedly murdered in Russia. They are based on the reports of the investor Bill Browder. Is the West taken in by a fraudster? Yes, and he proves it“

There now is an ongoing lobbying campaign to repeal the Magnitsky Act (the “Campaign”) and rewrite the history of the Magnitsky Clinton ‘Uranium One story’ to suit those it incriminates as they weave a story short on hard evidence and based on hear say alone.

The Campaign’s three objectives are:

A.To repeal the 2012 Magnitsky Act.

B.To remove the name “Magnitsky” from the Global Magnitsky Bill, which is currently passing through Congress.

C. To discredit the established version of events regarding the theft of $230 million from the Russian Treasury and the death of Sergei Magnitsky as told by William Browder, CEO of Hermitage (“Mr.Browder”), so as to assist the Campaign in meeting its objectives in relation to repealing the Magnitsky Law.

Renaissance Capital is owned by New Zealand Stephen Jennings the man who banked roll John Key. Renaissance Capital was then co-owned by Russian oligarch Mikhail Prokhorov, who also owned the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. He unsuccessfully ran for Russian president against Putin in 2012.

Not all Russians are fan of Putin.

2010: The US Embassy in Wellington sent secret cables to the US State Department about the activities of New Zealand shell companies in North Korean arms trading directed to its department’s Financial and Monetary Affairs and Trade and Technology Controls, It dealt with December 2009 discovery of SP Trading of Queen Street charted a Russian jet to fly arms from North Korea to Iran. The day before the US Embassy cabled Washington, Stuff reported that the creator of the shell companies, including SP Trading, had moved into a hotel in Auckland. Prime Minister John Key this morning said he did not know what would be revealed in the documents declaring he write a report and “look into it”.

More than $US378 billion ($519 billion) was laundered through Wachovia Bank by the Mexican cartels, including the Sinaloa cartel (We will go into and the Cameron Ortis Spy Scandal and why NZ was not made part of AUSKUS military pact for special technologies and and intelligence sharing. 22 January 2010: on the Day of Unity of Ukraine, the then-President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko awarded Steppen Bandera the title of Hero of Ukraine (posthumously) for “defending the Ukrainian state. During World War II, Bandera led the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, whose men killed thousands of Jews and Poles, including women and children, while fighting alongside Nazi Germany.

2010: Bill Clinton seeks clearance from the State Department to meet with a key board director of the Russian nuclear energy firm Rosatom — which at the time needed the Obama administration’s approval for a controversial uranium deal, government records show. Arkady Dvorkovich, a top aide to then-Russian President Dmitri Medvedev and one of the highest-ranking government officials to serve on Rosatom’s board of supervisors, was listed on a May 14, 2010, email as one of 15 Russians the former president wanted to meet during a late June 2010 trip, the documents show. Clinton Foundation foreign policy adviser Amitabh Desai wrote the State Department on May 14, 2010, using the former president’s initials and forwarding the list of names to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s team.

Millions of New Zealand taxpayer dollars were donated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) to Hillary Clinton’s charity, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), a non-profit organisation created from the Clinton Foundation with the stated goal to reduce HIV/AIDs in Africa.

An MFAT spokesman confirmed to the NBR that between January 2010 and June 2016, $7.7 million of taxpayer funds had already been donated and another $6 million was to follow, keeping to a pledge to donate $13.7 million made by the government organisation in 2013. A total of $145 million ‘pay for play’ contributions was made to the Clinton Foundation by shareholders of Canadian company Uranium One, a mining company with concessions in Kazakhstan and the US.

Uranium One sought to sell these concessions to the Russians, but the deal had to be approved by a government committee due to the implications to national security. But the deal went ahead any way.

Meaning;

1. The US version of Sergi Magnistsky scandal is fiction as Das Spiegel maintains.

2. This means the billions in money laundered of Russian & Mexican drug money through NZ in 2009 can be now be tied to both the Clintons, the CIA, & Jennings Renaissance bank directly.

3. Most importantly we now have caught CIA assets using Russian Hackers to make out its Russia not the CIA doing hacks and spreading ransomware.

4. The evidence, in contrasts, offered up today that Russia and China alone are responsible for cyber hacking is of a low quality. No better than that offered up for Iraq and proven to be fake. Are we really going to go down that road again?

5. Those making the allegation have a credibility issue having being caught lying to the public for decades as the Pentagon Papers, The Church Committee, The Iran Arms for Hostages Contra scandal, the BCCI Banking intelligence scandal, The Chilcott Inquiry and Wikileaks all testify to among many other scandals involving the Five Eye Intelligence club. And to add to that point many of those caught hacking for the USA (or who have been Russians who turn out to be working as guns for hire) are individuals linked to one if not more of the scandals listed above. This is literally the usual suspects.

6. The ‘witnesses’ to the official narrative being pumped out by western media within the Council of Foreing Relation umbrella are largely American corporations who stand to gain and have a record of helping the usual suspect commit the very crimes they are now accusing Russia and China of. Which includes attacks on not just on rival corporations or state forces but include illegal attacks conducted against the public.

7. The public leaks within Five Eyes and US intelligence to date may at a stretch of imagination serve Russia China’s bigger picture goals. Yet currently the paymaster identified to date has been the non-state actors of corporations and organised crime whom US intelligence and Five Eyes have partnered up with as they conduct illegal operations, on both sides of the ‘iron curtain’ aimed at empowering and enriching themselves. Operations which do not make the world safer but have served as a major force in global and regional instability. It is organised crime that has being caught compromising Five Eyes, at its highest level, as opposed to state actors from Russia and China who have also being on the receiving end of such cartels

8. Western media has not learned a thing from the Iraq war and remain the tool of the Council of Foreign Relations which guides US foreign policy in accordance to the whim of US oil arms and banking sector and whoever they may be in bed with be it spies or just simply those with money to pay and play.

9. Cyber hacking is conducted by both sides. However the chosen western narrative has being to ignore that fact as they (they being the usual suspects) build a steady stream of blame at only Russia and China door. As a hacking event aimed at targeting specifically the public and critical infrastructure for profit is clearly in the wind. The question of course, in the event that a forecasted 9/11 scale cyber event takes place, is will western media bother to look at who stands to gains from such attack or will they repeat the error of 9/11 and war in Iraq and simply accept the claims of those with an extreme history of conducting abuse for personal enrichment.

2010 -2016: period in which the Australian six were recruited to fight in the Ukraine matches the gaping hole in the publicly reported blackhole of Brenton Tarrant timeline between 2010 (when he first came to NZ) and 2016. Tarrant a self professed crusader claims to have being funded by Bitcoin by a firm that had collapsed by the time he is recorded using bitcoin, the currency of choice according to Podesta uncanny prediction of events that unfolded in Christchurch.

2010: Land Information New Zealand records show Russian Billionaire Mikhail Khimich, a powerful Russian oligarch with shady friends in low places, was granted permission under the Overseas Investment Act to buy 10 hectares of land from Waiwera Valley Properties Ltd. He invests in NZ water industry heavily with interest in Ordover Trust and subsidiaries Waiwera water, Waiwerea Thermal Resort Ltd, Waiwera Global, Waiwera Water Ltd, plus Waiwera Infinity Ltd, Robert Graham Institute Natural Waters which were listed to his home address or to 21 Waiwera Rd Waiwera Auckland. The crown of this liquid gold mine was the Waiwera water bottling company and water park north of Auckland, which has since been placed into liquidation in October 2019 and is subject to at less one investigation (from the NZ Companies Office) due to financial irregularities.

Khimich initially enjoyed positive media moved in high-profile social circles with the likes of New Zealand politicians and Kim Dotcom the hacker who got Auckland former mayor John Banks into hot water for dodgy election campaign donations. Offshore the Russian specialised not in water and selfies but energy commodities co-owning – a major supplier of oil and gas to the Russian military NaftaSib. He is deemed a good friend of the pre Putin KGB old guard.

A friendship saw him caught up in a bipartisan US politician lobbyist bribing scandal known as ‘The Abramhoff affair’ in the 1990’s which in many mirrors the present day Biden Trump Ukraine donation scandals – which illustrates if nothing else that not all Russians come from one happy family. That just because some one was KGB it does automatically means they are now welcome at the Kremlin these days. 

The scandal regardless held up Khimich’s application to buy into Waiwera for two years. The Overseas Investment Office eventually deemed him of “good character”, an indication the West thought Khimich was the right kind of Russian.

In New Zealand his Belarussian ‘model’ girlfriend Maria Dzidirava, who was with Khimich when his super yacht Thalia visited New Zealand in 2013, formed the headline ‘The spy who loved us’ after NaftaSib vice-president Marina Nevskaya told the journalists at a Team New Zealand cup raiser which Khimich donated $100,000 to was a “former Russian intelligence”, which was at the time written off as a joke. Maria Dzidirava, was in fact named “colonel-lieutenant in the GRU” (an abbreviation for the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). Though much like the plethora of ‘former CIA’ types to be found hanging out in dubious bars in the Pacific the emphasis should be put on former. For post cold war spies on both side found their was more of future to be had in being private ‘consultants’, than agents of the state. And some are even doing both.

5 February 2011 New START Treaty entered into force. 

The aggregate limits of the Treaty restrict the United States and Russia to 1,550 deployed strategic warheads each. Warheads actually deployed on ICBMs and SLBMs count toward this limit while each deployed heavy bomber equipped for nuclear armaments whether with gravity bombs or ALCMs counts as one warhead. The Treaty also includes an aggregate limit of 800 deployed and non-deployed ICBM launchers, SLBM launchers, and heavy bombers equipped for nuclear armaments. Within that limit, the number of deployed ICBMs, SLBMs, and heavy bombers cannot exceed 700. The United States and Russia must implement the necessary reductions to reach these limits no later than seven years after the Treaty’s entry into force. Within the aggregate limits, each State has the flexibility to determine the structure of its strategic forces.

The Treaty does not place any constraints on the testing, development or deployment of current or planned U.S. missile defense programs or U.S. long-range conventional strike capabilities. In order to promote the objectives and implementation of the Treaty’s provisions, the Parties will establish the Bilateral Consultative Commission, which will meet no less than twice a year in Geneva.

2014 Maidan Massacre: The generally held belief in Ukraine is that pro-democracy protesters, who had braved months of cold weather to challenge their corrupt government, were shot down by riot police snipers with the likely involvement of Russian operatives. The incumbent president, Viktor Yanukovych, fled the country shortly after the bloodbath and sought refuge in Russia. Petro Poroshenko was then elected as the country’s new president and Ukraine revived its Euro-Atlantic integration ambitions, but Moscow took advantage of the disarray in Kyiv to seize Crimea and intervene militarily through its proxies in the Donbas.

In order to counter the patriotic Ukrainian narrative and justify its own aggression, Moscow has promoted an alternative narrative. According to the Kremlin, the revolt on Maidan was a Western conspiracy. It was a CIA-inspired coup designed to pull Ukraine out of Moscow’s orbit. By intervening in Ukraine, Russia was merely responding to a “neo-fascist” takeover by “Ukrainian nationalists” in a bid to protect the rights of “Russian-speakers” in Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

Its this author belief that the answer to which scenario is correct lie with Brenton Tarrant, the Christchurch Mosque shooter, missing years and the Australian Six.

2014: Ukraine’s armed forces begin used banned “cluster bombs” in the six-month war against pro-Russian insurgents in the separatist east. Human Rights Watch published a detailed investigation carried out jointly with The New York Times that identified 12 incidents in which these weapons killed six people — including a Swiss aid worker — in and around the rebel-held city of Donetsk earlier this month. The global rights group said there appeared to be “widespread” use of these weapons which are highly inaccurate as they are sprayed across a wide area. The report supported claims made throughout the conflict by Russia that Ukraine’s pro-Western government had been violating human rights and killing innocent civilians through indiscriminate use of force.

2014 USA Israel support a right wing government including training and arming Neo Nazi militia’s.The Azov Battalion unit was initially formed as a volunteer group in May 2014 out of the ultra-nationalist Patriot of Ukraine gang, and the neo-Nazi Social National Assembly (SNA) group. A few months after recapturing the strategic port city of Mariupol from the Russian-backed separatists, the unit was officially integrated into the National Guard of Ukraine on November 12, 2014, and exacted high praise from then-President Petro Poroshenko. “These are our best warriors,” he said at an awards ceremony in 2014. “Our best volunteers.”

The unit was led by Andriy Biletsky, who served as the the leader of both the Patriot of Ukraine (founded in 2005) and the SNA (founded in 2008).  The SNA is known to have carried out attacks on minority groups in Ukraine. In 2010, Biletsky said Ukraine’s national purpose was to “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade … against Semite-led Untermenschen [inferior races]”. Biletsky was elected to parliament in 2014. He left Azov as elected officials cannot be in the military or police force. He remained an MP until 2019.

2014: In Walking on the West Side: the World Bank and the IMF in the Ukraine Conflict, a report released by the Oakland Institute exposed how international financial institutions swooped in on the heels of the political upheaval in Ukraine to deregulate and throw open the nation’s vast agricultural sector to foreign corporations. The report details how transnational agribusinesses are increasingly investing in Ukraine, including Monsanto, Cargill, and DuPont, and how corporations are taking over all aspects of Ukraine’s agricultural system. This includes circumventing land moratoriums, investing in seed and input production facilities, and acquiring commodity production, processing, and transportation facilities.

2014: an employee of Mikhail Khimich, former KGB bioterrorism expert Alexander Kouzminov, escaped conviction in New Zealand despite testing more than twice the legal drink-drive limit. His conviction was overturned after his lawyer Stuart Blake argued he would “loose the right to travel overseas as a consultant for several foreign intelligence agencies”.

The firm is run by Tony Podesta, whose brother, John, is a longtime adviser to Clinton and was chairman of her 2016 presidential campaign. A litany of lies;

Two small probs with that specific lie;

1. OPWC witnessed the destruction of the Syrian stock piles (which originates from the UK) years ago.

3. The only chemical weapons (with an absence of missiles) found in Iraq after 2001 were destroyed by US in an incompetent fashion which affected nearly 250,000 troops were those sold to Iraq by the USA.

The assumption is this form of nerve gas originated from the Sarin sold to Iraq by the USA in 1980 as part of one trillion dollar aid deal signed off by the US Secretary of Agriculture Clayton Yeutter Fontera’s future lobbyist in Washington DC. The weapons were used on the Iranians (also supplied by the US as a result of the Iran Contra affair).

However this need no be so. New Zealand firms who appear among the list of companies who supplied Iraq with humanitarian aid (via the same accounts used to fund Iraq with aid money used to buy weapons) include;

+ Reese Engineering a subsidiary of Kim Seed International who specialist in helicopters, secure transportable safes, and spray dispersal equipment. The firm admits supplying Iraq with agricultural good used for military purposes by Iraq during the Iraq Iran war. They have UN aid contract in Iraq, Syria, Libya, North Korea and arm, many of these including UN financed re-vegetation programs conducted in area populated by indigenous people seen as thorn by ruling regimes. Their employee include a former UN aid procurement specialist whose linked profile states he was a graduate of Baghdad university where he worked as an industrial chemist.

+ NZ Waste Technology Ltd. Its directors include accountant David Appleby who clients previously included Ron Renwald the the money laundering accountant for CIA arms deals Ron Renwald (famed of the Maori Loans Affair )

+ Fonterra supplied Iraq with nearly 80% (according the NZ MFAT OIA) of their “humanitarian aid”

22 firms who stock NZ dairy goods that participated in the UN Oil For Food turned out to be subsidiary firms of HSA Yeman. The firm is identified in a UN Watch dog report as the source of fund used to finance the Saudi based 9/11 terrorist attack on September 11th 2001.

Two further cut out firms who supplied the UN program with NZ dairy good indirectly are identified in OIA documents as New Zealand Saudi Milk Product Ltd and Vina Milk of Vietnam.

There products appear to have being repackaged once exported from NZ (and I am pretty sure I know who did that and I am kind of curious to know why a packaging firm hires ex NZSAS officers). The deal was assisted by Ian Robertson the former head of the NZ Dairy (Fonterra predecessors) Far East division. Robertson did this via his firm Vostock Export and Vostock Immigration and his people operated out of the NZ embassy in Vietnam. Vostock Exports list their products as NZ dairy goods, middle eastern crude oil and munitions. Robertson other NZ interest include Prok bank a Russian tax haven based in Vanautu which had to shut its doors in 1999 six weeks after my book State Secrets came out linking the firm to suspected arms deals, liquidation fishing boat scams, and money laundering.

Prok had strong links to both the Russian Nahodka mafia (associates of the NZ firm were involved in mafia shooting in Auckland) and to anti Putin fractions of Russian intelligence. Specifically Victor and Larissa Shumilov who according to two New Zealand Custom intelligence officers John Anderson and Tony Spillane were ex FSB officer.

Prok directors included former national MP Ross Meurant a staunchly anti communist who held the portfolio of under minister for forestry and agriculture at time NZ first began letting Russian fish in NZ water as part of the 1977 Economic Exclusion zone agreement. Meurant also has history of dealing in weapons sales and recruiting former NZ soldiers to go and do security work for Middle East nations. As of 2007 Meurant admitted he still worked in Asia the Middle East in conjunction with his former Russian associate at Prok.

Meurant worked for Peters — who I believed helped cover up NZ role in the scandalous Food For Oil or Weapons for Wheat affair – during the inquiry into corruption in the fishing industry while operating out of the premises of Villa Fishing Ltd. Villa was one of the firms being questioned. He also helped deliver election donations to Winston Peters on behalf of the fishing industry.

Prok also had ties to XADO Ltd (a Russian firm which deal in munitions and nuclear reactor products) located at 254 Montreal St. The address was not only the head quarters of South Canterbury Finance but also hive of ex spooks, mobsters and private security officials but Scale Trading Ltd the former shipping firm with links to Gazprom Russia but previously the center of special operations for the NZ merchant navy during WWII when the firm over saw allied arms shipment to Russia.

It include two subsidiary firms.

Helicopter NZ the world leading helicopter gunship specialist and trainers according to Helicopter NZ own website.

Mr Apples subject to a 1999 Privy Council which found the firm had laundered money for the Russian mob. The Mr Apple deals in which NZ asset rich firm like SCF were lured into debt and money laundering and then collapse following the collapse of Asian Tigers ( triggered in turn specifically by the fall of ARMS Risk Ltd owned by Oil for Food participant, arms dealer, and Russian mobster groupie Tim Gatland) saw NZ firms go from being rich to hiding debt as result of these dubious money transaction. Weeks before his death, Murai had being present at a press conference in Tokyo’s Foreign Press Club, where Aum’s guru, Shoko Asahara, claimed that the massive earthquake that devastated the Computer and steel manufacturing hub Kobe was an act of war part of the US Japanese trade was. In May 2016 Nakagawa Tomomasa, a former Aum leader , executed yesterday for his role in the 95 sarin nerve gas attack published a document on the nerve agent VX. Part of analyst on the assassination of half brother to Kim Jong which was blamed on North Korea with a questionable level of forensic facts The poison that was used to murder Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, in Malaysia on February 13, 2017. The analysis, co-authored by Anthony Tu, Honorary Professor of the State of Colorado, was presented in English on May 23 on the online edition of the Japanese scientific journal Forensic Toxicology. According to the text, the two assailants attacked Kim Jong-nam by applying to his face two less harmful substances which, by mixing, produced the lethal agent VX. This method duplicates specifically the American method with which Sarin is manufactured and stored at Fort Detricks for longevity. The same method used in the 1995 Aum attack.

The Salisbury poison is similar to nerve gas like VX and that used in Syria (blamed on Russia but shown to be manufactured in Germany along with smoke bombs manufactured in Salisbury the same town in which nerve gas was used on anti Putin defectors (before popping back up months later and making two people sick). Salisbury is seven miles away from the Porton Down Chemical weapons research facility which is also tied to the highly suspicious death of Professor David Kelly. Kelly had told his friend the famous botanist David Bellamy that “the orcs had being let out to play” as Bellamy admitted on Radio New Zealand during an interview with Linda Ryan. The Kelly affair is related toy tied the fabrication of false intelligence report which falsely tied Iraq to the manufacture of nerve gas in 2001 used as the precursor to invade Iraq in the second gulf war.

The 2001 second gulf war coincided with alleged anthrax attacks in the USA – sourced back to a US chemical weapons research facility Fort Detricks.

Two further executed Aum cultists worth taking a closer look at due to their expertise in clandestine use of nerve agents and terror attacks include;

KIYOHIDE HAYAKAWA, 68, was the only one executed who was not involved in the subway attack. He earned a master’s degree in city engineering and landed a job in a major construction company before joining Aum in 1987 as one of its earliest members. Hayakawa was responsible for land acquisition and expansion. He oversaw an effort to make machine guns and the purchase of weapons and a helicopter via Russia and close ties to the Western backed Russian Oligarch who in the 1990s sough to control Russia’s government. High level contacts included Oleg Lobov, a close confidante of Premier Boris Yeltsin. Lobov later became chairman of Russia’s Security Council – the nations highest decision making body. Lobov, who was also the chairman of the Russia-Japan College, is believed to have been paid upwards of US$ 100 million for services rendered to Aum Shinrikyo. Replaced by Pro Putin General Alexander Lebed in 1998 Lobov appears to have remained on good terms with Putin regime as continues to gain position and rewards from the state as late of 2010.

Following the sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway, two Russian Duma committees began investigations of the Aum — the Committee on Religious Matters and the Committee on Security Matters. A report from the Security Committee states that the Aum’s followers numbered 35,000, with up to 55,000 laymen visiting the sect’s seminars sporadically. Today they continue to have members in Russia and other European cities. The Security Committee report also states that the Russian sect had 5,500 full-time monks who lived in Aum accommodations, usually housing donated by Aum followers. Russian Aum officials, themselves, claim that over 300 people a day attended services in Moscow. The official Russian Duma investigation into the Aum described the cult as a closed, centralized organization with eleven branches outside of Moscow and at least seven inside of Moscow. Some of the other Aum headquarters in Russia were located in St. Petersburg, Kazan, Perm, Vorkuta, Tyumen, Samara, Vladivostok, Elista, and Vladikavkaz. The majority of the Russian Aum members were disaffected university students with a background in post graduate levels of physics, chemistry, and biology.

In 1992 Aum bought radio time from one of the largest radio stations in Russia – the state-run Mayak Radio — under a three-year contract costing $800,000 per year. Aum, also owned or leased a radio station in Vladivostok with Aum programs televised on Russia’s “2X2” television station. Aum’s Russian security firm Aum Protect had permits to bear arms from former Russian authorities and received special training on Russian security facilities (mirroring the past of the Russian believed to have delivered the original Salisbury nerve gas incident – who however can be traced back to the anti Borris Yeltsin OMON forces whose unit were stood down during the attempted coup against Yeltsin in 1998 which saw in turn the rise of Putin to President due to his loyalty to Yeltsin during the coup). Hayakawa and Aum Protect played a key role in obtaining technology and weapons from Russia.

YOSHIHIRO INOUE, 48,headed its intelligence unit had ties via his recruits to both the Japanese Yakuza and Japanese intelligence service the Office of Public Security. He was Asahara’s right-hand man who coordinated the subway attacks and theft of military secrets from Japanese high tech companies with assistance of cult members who were also serving Japanese special forces soldiers. In 2016 Russian police raided 25 premises linked to the Japanese Aum Shinrikyo cult in Moscow and St. Petersburg, detaining several members. This comes after authorities in Montenegro deported 58 suspected cult followers, 44 of them to being sent Russia.

2019: Reported how the Hamilton City Council discharged 1.782 million litres of wastewater including human sewage into the Waikato River leading to it been convicted and fined $54,000.The ‘brown town’ discharge from its central city wastewater pumping station occurred over a 19-hour period on February 20, 2018. According to the sentencing notes, an engineer discovered the wastewater was discharging into the Waikato River. Hamilton City Council waters manager Maire Porter said their investigation discovered the pump’s span setting – the sensor system used to measure wastewater levels in the underground holding wells – “had been changed“. Turning off the wastewater station’s pumps “required access to its computer software”. This “required a password” (but not a password that was user specific) meaning the change was deliberate. Anyone with access to the computer terminals within the greater Hamilton city area that were connected with this software could have done this. The Council was unable to find out who changed that setting. Waikato’s Senior Policy Advisor for Water Policy, Science and Strategy at Waikato Regional Council Dr Alexander Kouzminov previously worked as a Russian KGB bio-warfare virologist who has defected to the private sector as a private/ government consultant. 2019: Khimich’s former business associate, was New Zealand citizen Alexander Kirichuk – formerly of the Ukraine. Copies of these documents formed the basis of a RNZ investigation which documented how Kirichuck was forced out of the police and received death threats just as the Kirichucks claimed.

A video also showed that before the shooting, the gunman played a song honouring Bosnian Serb wartime political leader Radovan Karadzic, whose final verdict for genocide and war crimes was delivered shortly after the shooting. The text also contained a section about the Kosovo conflict. “Balkanization will also reduce the USA’s ability to project power globally, and thereby ensure that never again can such a situation as the US involvement in Kosovo ever occur again (where US/NATO forces fought beside Muslims and slaughtered Christian Europeans attempting to remove there Islamic occupiers from Europe),” it said.
Links have emerged between the shooter, Brenton Tarrant, and a Ukrainian ultra-nationalist, white supremacist paramilitary organization called the Azov Battalion. 

Tarrant’s own manifesto alleges that he visited the country during his many travels abroad, and the flak jacket that Tarrant wore during the assault featured a symbol commonly used by the Azov Battalion. Tarrant’s transnational ties go beyond Ukraine, however. Tarrant claimed that he was in touch with Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian terrorist, and he took trips throughout Europe, including the Balkans, visiting sites that symbolized historical battles between Christians and Muslims. During the video of his attack he could be heard listening to a song that glorified Bosnian-Serb war criminal Radovan Karadzic, and his gun featured racial messages and names of white supremacists from around the world. The Azov Battalion is emerging as a critical node in the transnational right-wing violent extremist (RWE) network. This group maintains its own ‘Western Outreach Office’ to help recruit and attract foreign fighters that travel to train and connect with people from like-minded violent organizations from across the globe. Operatives from the outreach office travel around Europe to promote the organization and proselytize its mission of white supremacy.

April 2019: Five Australians are found to have travelled to fight alongside western-backed nationalist militia in Ukraine, according to intelligence provided to the Australian Federal Police. Ukrainian officials provided the AFP and Department of Home Affairs with a list of suspected Australian foreign fighters almost six months ago and are strongly pushing for the men to be charged. But the AFP is unable to prosecute the Australians, as it is not illegal for them to join the conflict because the federal government ignored a high-level recommendation to make all foreign fighting a criminal offence. The ABC has previously reported that former Australian Defence Force personnel, including some with ties to far-right groups, fought with Ukrainian battalions in the same war. Ukrainian authorities would not comment on whether they had established if Tarrant, an Australian citizen, had travelled there. But they confirmed Tarrant did not apply for a visa before leaving Australia. They said that if it was found he had been in Ukraine, he must have obtained a visa from another embassy abroad, or entered through the militarised zone, leaving open the possibility that he fought in the conflict. The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs is assisting in investigating the circumstances surrounding the terrorist act,” a spokeswoman said in a statement. Tarrant is believed to have travelled through eastern Europe in 2016 and 2018 and other countries in the region, including Bulgaria and Romania, have confirmed he visited. Authorities seem reluctant to draw attention to Tarrant’s travel details from 2010 -2016.

September 2019 the RCMP arrested Cameron Ortis, who was director general of the National Intelligence Coordination Centre  who had been running the NICC since 2016. He had joined the RCMP in 2007 from an academic background in technology and crime. In 2018 a joint operation between the RCMP and FBI indicated that there might be a mole, the investigation led to the arrest of Ortis. Media reports have linked his arrest to Phantom Secure. The Federation Council, Russia’s upper chamber, would gain powers over the appointment of security officials. The constitutional position of the State Council, which Mr Putin currently heads, would also be strengthened. Putin been in power longer than any other Russian or Soviet leader since Josef Stalin (who led from 1924 until his death in 1953). Under the current law, Mr Putin must step down in 2024 after his term ends. The Constitutional changes appeared to be designed to enable Putin to retain informal power by switching to one of the said institutions after leaving the presidential post. Dmitry Medvedev  Dmitry Medvedev had being expected to replace Putin until recently when Yevgeny Zinichev began to be apparently groomed for the role.

Palo Alto Sean Druca, Vice President and Regional Chief Security Officer for Asia Pacific and Japan at Palo Alto Networks, was also a speaker at the 2020 Crisis X event.

While a third firm linked to it on the ICIJ database Butterfield Trust can be identified as having being run by an Auckland director, Matthew James Butterfield,central to an RNZ investigation into alleged money-laundering. Buttefield was banned from operating in the tax haven of Guernsey in 2010, five years shortly before he started work as a trust and company lawyer in New Zealand. Butterfield appeared in a Colorado deposition hearing as part of a US court battle over a separate case involving alleged fraud, theft, money-laundering, tax evasion, assassination and Azerbaijan oil & gas.

The RNZ investigation was part of Project Daphne, a multi-country journalist collaboration to carry on the work of Maltese journalist Daphne Cauana Galizia, who was murdered by a car bomb on 16 October 2017 while reporting on Maltese government corruption and the Azerbaijan-linked money laundering. On Thursday January 21, 2021, President Joe Biden announced that the United States would seek a five-year extension on the New START treaty without additional provisions.
