So I have known for while that a major exercise was due. Largely as the National Emergency Management Agency noted this on its own website – minus dates and other specifics.

However NEMA after a series of not acknowledging my OIA, then pretending to answer it by ignoring my core questions (what exercises when) and instead saying oh they are ‘not in your area so don’t worry about it’, have been playing coy.

Today however information of military exercises poured in after 2:30pm when I posted a social media comment visa observing a low flying Airforce plane which looks like the aircraft we use for submarine tracking.

I wrote “submarine hunter just flew over Bluff four days early observed soldiers in uniform driving around Bluff St in camper van with reports of large military chopper activity out towards Winton. Hmmmoday”

I soon got a bevy of reports of alleged military activity in Wellington the West Coast and confirmation of Southland activity “what was that big aircraft this morning!?Flying low and letting off a lot of something above Invercargill, Omaui and Bluff”?

There was at less one military aircraft present possibly two.

Another contact noted ZKJCJ a Bombardier class lear jet flight south of Christchurch “I noted it around lunchtime, only noticed it because of the news story on the US ship in Wellington this morning and thought it may have something to do with it. Same type of boat as was in Kaikoura quake”. The source is referring to the United States warship USS HOWARD which arrived in Wellington for a port visit and “official engagement” with the Defence Force, the first visit from the US navy since 2016.

The crew of the USS Howard, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, “manned the rails” as it sailed into the harbour and pulled alongside Aotea Quay on Friday morning. The ship spent two weeks travelling to New Zealand from its home port, Yokosuka, Japan.

The crew, which number more than 300 people, had all been tested for Covid-19, with a New Zealand Air Force C130 Hercules parachuting tests kits into the water near the ship as it passed Auckland. The tests were returned by a helicopter aboard the USS Howard, for processing before the ship arrived in Wellington.

I have not had time to chase the aforementioned ZKJCJ down and this might be normal air activity except it come on the background of further unusual lear jet activity the day before hand with two aircraft whose designation was left blank.

This ultimately will compromise of 40,000 satellite when it hit peak deployment and it is not just their just to handle faster movies but is also being used by the Pentagon to support their global network to assist AI based communications, targeting, real time battle awareness and geospatial data mining.

The assumed focus of these flights, which coinciding with the earlier 2021 arrival of aircraft 6167 to Whenupai (which had some fairly exotic flight plan Khabarovsk Russia famous only for its high-speed international fiber-optic cable connects the city of Khabarovsk with the city of Fuyuan in China. And prior to that flew into Kosovo, Seychelles, Peru. Naples, Iran, Russia, Hawaii, Waco Texas) along side other aircraft linked to US defence based tech contractors. over the past year or so.

The warship visit comes the same day the NZ press reported that a spokesperson for the Australian Defence Force had confirmed a ship belonging to the People’s Liberation Army operated off Australia’s east coast, the intelligence ship Yuhengxing was in Australia’s economic zone, it was not in Australian territorial waters. According to the Daily Telegraph, which broke the story, the vessel monitored a number of military training areas as it travelled as far south as Sydney, before heading across the Tasman towards New Zealand. And it did this in August of last year

Winston Peters confirmed that two political operatives that led the Brexit campaign in the UK are working on the New Zealand First election campaign on Monday. Peters told Morning Report a contract had been signed with Arron Banks and Andy Wigmore – the self-styled “Bad Boys of Brexit”.
