Guardian “What’s the problem with the Chinese version”?

“A specific issue is that the official origin story doesn’t add up in terms of the initial epidemiology of the outbreak, not least the incidence of early cases with no apparent connection to the Wuhan seafood market, where Beijing says the outbreak began. If these people were not infected at the market, or via contacts who were infected at the market, critics ask, how do you explain these cases?”

Same story however debunked by in a statement to the Guardian, James Le Duc, the head of the Galveston National Laboratory in the US, the biggest active bio-containment facility on a US academic campus, also poured cold water on the suggestion. “There is convincing evidence that the new virus was not the result of intentional genetic engineering and that it almost certainly originated from nature, given its high similarity to other known bat-associated coronaviruses,” he said.

Story fails to report James Le Duc, director of the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas, one of the largest active biocontainment facilities on a US campus, was closely involved in training the Wuhan institute’s staff in safety protocols from before it opened in January 2018.

Le Duc’s Galveston laboratory provided short-term safety training to staff from the Wuhan institute in 2013 and also hosted two postdoctoral scientists from the facility, who completed the almost year-long training needed to gain independent access to facilities rated at BSL-4 – the highest level of bioresearch safety.

“Both have since returned to [the institute] in China, where they were instrumental in establishing their biosafety and biosecurity training programme for the new BSL-4 laboratory and where they continue their independent research in the new facility,” Le Duc said. “Our faculty and staff maintain contact and continue to collaborate scientifically with these two scientists.”

Wuhan Nat’l Lab Director Zhengli Shi – who did a coronavirus study using bats in Dec. 2019 – visited Galveston in 2018. She was there to attend a conference. Only one problem the conference did not exist.

Zhengli also spent time in Australia as a visiting scientist for three months from February 22 to May 21, 2006 where she worked at the CSIRO’s top-level Australian Animal Health Laboratory.

HOUSTON, TEXAS—The MD Anderson Cancer Center here has ousted three senior researchers after the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, informed it that the scientists had committed potentially “serious” violations of agency rules involving confidentiality of peer review and the disclosure of foreign ties. The researchers are among five MD Anderson scientists that NIH cited in letters to the cancer center, which is part of the University of Texas (UT) system. MD Anderson officials say they invoked termination proceedings against three of the researchers, are still investigating allegations against one, and determined termination was not warranted for the fifth scientist.

Francis A. Boyle is a leading Harvard professor, practitioner and advocate of international law. He was responsible for drafting the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989 (BWATA), the American implementing legislation for the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention. Author of Biowarfare and Terrorism (Clarity Press: 2005). He served on the Board of Directors of Amnesty International USA (1988-1992), and represented Bosnia-Herzegovina at the World Court. 2. Peter Daszak, president of the New York-based non-profit EcoHealth Alliance, who has been involved in research on bat coronaviruses in China and Southeast Asia for 15 years, has been vocal on Twitter about the campaign to discredit the institute and its chief scientist Shi Zhengi o tweeter last week. Daszak said Shi had been insulted and threatened by conspiracy theorists in the US and China. “World-class virologist, first to identify the origin of Sars-CoV-2 and wonderful generous person. She should be lauded as a hero, not vilified.”

3. Ecolab funding also involved USAID whose role in covert action past and recent is massively documented. This includes a fake vaccine drives in Pakistan and Syria while the CIA in now known to have planted the swine flu in Cuba during the 1970’s (at the time the CIA were using USAID as a front as it armed ‘stay behind’ units in Laos and Cambodia). At a time the CIA could be identified as having run a covert US bioweapons program.

In Syria, USAID, working with the Pentagon attempted to construct a parallel government in regions controlled by foreign-backed, anti-government militants, helping to consolidate extremist control while doing nothing to stop the resurgence of preventable diseases. Earlier in Pakistan, the supposed aid agency not only partnered with the CIA to organise the sham vaccination drive, it recruited the doctor who oversaw it. Operation Timber Sycamore, a semi-covert operation to topple the Syrian government, officially began in 2012. 

4. Prestigious Hiv scientist gets smeared by fake news

Luc Montagnier the Noble prize winner in science – the man who discovered HIV came to the conclusion that there was manipulation around this virus. […] “To a part but I do not say the total […] of the coronavirus of the bat, someone added sequences, in particular of HIV, the virus of AIDS. […] It is not natural. It’s the work of professionals, of molecular biologists. […] A very meticulous work”.

Snope fact checker poured scorn on that claim saying the viruses comparison to HIV were slight that Luc Montagnier HIV claims were ludicrous. Snopes acknowledge the strain but said they were just “random chance”

Does the Novel Coronavirus Contain HIV-Related Genes?

Snopes wrote “Another line of pseudoscientific reasoning concerns claims that the virus is just too perfectly built to infect humans to be a virus of natural origin. A big talking point in this space stems from a paper that was later retracted by the authors themselves. On Feb. 2, a team of Indian researchers released a non-peer-reviewed preprint of a paper asserting to have found “uncanny” similarities between amino acid structures in SARS-CoV-2 and HIV. “The finding,” they argued, “is unlikely to be fortuitous in nature,” seemingly implying a level of human engineering behind the virus.
The paper was swiftly retracted by the authors, according to STAT News, with commenters noting the study’s rushed methods and likely coincidental, if not entirely incorrect, conclusion. A Feb. 14 paper, this one peer-reviewed, “demonstrated no evidence that the sequences of these four inserts are HIV-1 specific or the [SARS-CoV-2] viruses obtain these insertions from HIV-1.”Speaking to Snopes by email, Robert Garry, an infectious disease expert at Tulane University who has published on the origins of SARS-CoV-2, told us by email that “the so-called HIV sequences are very short — nothing more than random chance.”Such a reality has not stopped pseudoscientific internet personalities from incorporating these already discredited results into misinformed conspiracy theories while pushing vaccine skeptical content”.

And yet two trials were expedited on the recommendation of the WHO’s experts. Patients in one are being given Kaletra, a drug taken by people with HIV.

Luc Montagnier was also supported by Taiwan Public Health Association at NTU, Fang Chi-tai (方啟泰), a professor at NTU’s College of Public Health, said that COVID-19 is 96 percent similar to the bat virus RaTG13, which is known to be housed at the lab. Fang said “ this in itself is not a smoking gun, as a genetic similarity of 99 percent would be required to declare them to be the same“.

The professor said that viruses normally only have small mutations in the form of singular changes in natural conditions. He asserted that in nature, it is “unlikely to have four amino acids added at once.” Fang concluded, “Therefore, from an academic point of view, it is indeed possible that the amino acids were added to COVID-19 in the lab by humans.” He said that it is also still possible that this occurred in nature but that “the chances are very slim.”

Fang stressed that the mutations found in the novel coronavirus are “unusual in an academic sense.” He asserted that “It is indeed possible that it is a man-made product.”After being contacted by Taiwan News for comment, Fang denied making the previously cited statements and said that he “does not support the highly popular man-made theory on the origin of this virus.”

The Taiwanese press does not have the have the best rep in the world. However what Fang said precisely is hard to confirms as the video of his presentation has mysteriously been taken down. Fang in subsequent press releases denied making the previously cited statements and said that he “does not support the highly popular man-made theory on the origin of this virus.” Senior academic “renowned Taiwanese-American professor Ching Lin” refuted that it was “bioweapon” created by the U.S., saying the addition of the aforementioned four amino acids is not as “critical” as some in the Chinese media had claimed. Lin also cast doubt on the credibility of the Indian paper (Which cited the uncanny similarity of unique inserts in the 2019-nCoV spike protein to HIV-1 gp120 and Gag) being cited in the ‘conspiracy theories’.

However, three of the inserts mentioned in the paper were found in a known coronavirus carried by bats, and the fourth was very similar to the bat coronavirus, Yang said.

None of them is from the HIV, Yang said a statement which actually puts word in the mouth of the French, Indian and Taiwanese scientist who never said did have an HIV strain but was very close to it (96%)

This is the same line issued by Chin Lee almost word for word “the four insertions in the spike glycoproteins that Indian authors described as unique to COVID-19 are not unusual”

The only problem with that is Yang and Chin are they blatantly wrong when they say it genome is not unique and uncommon and down play it similarity to the HIV strain.

Yang Chin Lin refutes the strains unique nature both calling it “not uncommon”

Fact checker has also attacked the HIV man made claim. One small problem the fact checker Danielle Anderson, works at Duke University’s NUS Medical School lab in Singapore and also contributes to Science Feedback -(which Facebook has been using to slap “False Information” labels on articles claiming that COVID-19 may have originated at the Wuhan institute).

A quick search of Anderson’s publications reveals no fewer than nine collaborations with Dr. Peng Zhou – a Wuhan scientist experimenting on bat coronavirus (the mention of whom may result in a Twitter ban).

Anderson further appeared on TV & in papers ‘debunking’ claims “China [is having] a problem keeping dangerous pathogens in test tubes where they belong” while Science Feedback cast doubt on the Post’s claim that “evidence points to SARS-CoV-2 research being carried out at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” Except, they were carrying out SARS-CoV-2 research at that exact lab, according to new reports in the Wall Street Journal, the Daily Mail and Fox News. An April 9 report in the Journal reveals that COVID-19 is genetically identical to a corona-virus found in a horseshoe bat “collected by hazmat-clad scientists from the Institute of Virology in Wuhan.”

Dr of Peng of Wuhan Labratory also counter this with his own research into how vaccine attacks immune system in a unique manner very similar to that of HIV. In 2007 Dr Peng Shi Zhengli are found as author in study by American Society for Microbiology which used the HIV virus in experiments researching the Corona virus and SARS.

“In this study, a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-based pseudovirus system was employed to address these issues”.

Dr Peng and Shi Zhengli both carried out research at the troubled Australian Animal Health Laboratory in Geelong which has being both the victim of espionage and accidental death as result of work carried out at the laboratory where chimera virus were designed. Zhengli also spent time in Australia as a visiting scientist for three months from February 22 to May 21, 2006 where she worked at the CSIRO’s top-level Australian Animal Health Laboratory in Geelong Melbourne just before lab worker Van Nguyen died.

Peng worked their in 2013 at the same time a Chinese student was being investigated for suspected industrial espionage after he allegedly accessed highly sensitive data while working at a CSIRO nanotechnology laboratory in Melbourne.

The nano connection to espionage involving Chinese scientist can be found not just in Australia but specifically in 2019 when Harvard Chemistry Chairman nano scientist Charles Liber wasc harged on alleged undisclosed ties to China Charles Lieber was arrested in January 2020 for misleading federal authorities about funds he allegedly received from Wuhan Institute of Technology and is accused of lying to Defense Department, National Institutes of Health about Chinese government funding.

Conclusion
Virus did not come from the market.
A steady stream of debunkers whose facts are wrong and who can be tied to Wuhan a fact that is usually omitted in their debunk.

The chief research funding for this work comes from a known CIA front with a history of covert biowarfare research.

One theory the seafood market has zero evidence to support it.
The other quite a bit. If you choose to exclude sources who have their own ties to the plagued world of pathogen research and shady biotech dollars.
