OUR HOUSE: MAUREEN PUGH

MH: Maureen Helena Pugh ONZM (born 1958)[1][2] is a New Zealand politician. She was the mayor of Westland from 2004 to 2013. She first became a Member of Parliament for the National Party in 2016, leaving Parliament in 2017 and returning in 2018. She was initially a list MP, before winning the West Coast-Tasman electorate in 2023. On 6 December 2023, she was appointed First Assistant Speaker of the House of Representatives.

While serving as mayor of Westland District Council, Pugh was accused of failure to declare a financial conflict of interest. Callery Holdings and Glacier Air, both owned by Gavin Molloy and Lindsay Smith, are taking the council to the High Court because they say the council forced them off the land and took over the site to start their own heliport company. In 2004 the council told Glacier Air must move by 2008 because the helicopters were causing too much air and noise pollution. Court papers show that on August 3, 2009, council chief executive at the time, Robin Reeves, granted Hokitika Airport Ltd (HAL) a lease over the existing site to operate a heliport for five years, with an option for a renewal of a further 10 years after that. Hokitika Airport is a subsidiary of Westland Holdings Ltd, which is fully owned by the council. The papers noted Mayor Maureen Pugh’s role in the affair, as she was also a director of Westland Holdings.

“Maureen Pugh had a direct conflict of interest in moving the revocation motion between her duties owed to Westland District Council as Mayor and her duties as a director of Westland Holdings, the sole shareholder of HAL.”

Simon Bridges, who was National Party leader from 2018 to 2020, described Pugh as “fucking useless” in a phone call with Jami-Lee Ross, which was recorded and posted on Facebook by Ross in October 2018.

In February 2022 Pugh expressed support through Facebook for Convoy 2022, a protest group who travelled to Wellington to occupy the grounds of parliament, protesting vaccine mandates, with some opposing the vaccine itself. Pugh later amended the post, then deleted it, and said she did not realise many of the protesters were against COVID-19 vaccination. Largely she was supporting the same element associated with the Dairy farming grass root movement Ground Swell ) whose member include past member of the Golden Bay Community Trust – a copartner in mussel farming venture along with Tom Sturgess Lone Star farms).

Following the occupation of parliament grounds was over, Pugh said that “we [the National Party] had one or two members [party members, not members of parliament] in there talking with protestors on an almost daily basis.” A National Party spokesperson said that “National did not send anyone—MPs, members or otherwise—to enter in discussions with protestors. However, we are aware of party members who attended the protest of their own accord”

Pugh revealed in 2016 that she does not believe in pharmaceutical drugs, that nature delivers whatever people need, and that “there’s nothing wrong with getting a cold or getting a flu – if you have a healthy immune system you can deal with it“. The next day she wrote “I do support the use of pharmaceuticals”. Pugh receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

On climate change, Pugh said 2023 that, while she believed in it, she had yet to see evidence of anthropocentric causes of that change. However, after Christopher Luxon responded by stating “If you’re a climate denier… that’s not an acceptable position”. Pugh likewise reversed her position.

Pugh opposed 3 waters saying in the house on the 22nd “New Zealand has been duped into thinking that this has been all about clean water”, when, in fact, we were between second and ninth in the world for top-quality water in this country. “A great win-win-win all round for the region”

Pugh supported the Waimea dam a public water venture run and part owned by private concerns attended by Chris Luxon Kaikoura MP Stuart Smith, mayors Tim King and Nick Smith, and Waimea Irrigators Ltd and Waimea Water Ltd directors and staff. The original price tag of $105 million would later blow out to exceed $198 million. The Tasman District Council owns 51 percent of the dam, with 49 percent owned by Waimea Irrigators. As of march their were rumors that the firm may go into liquidation and the crown would be forced to sell its interest to the private sector. Their increasing signs that local farmers will have to face increased rationing and increased cost if this occurs.

While much has been made of the assault on Pugh by anti-Sam Creek gold mining Fast Track protesters little media attention in comparison has focused on the fact that charges were dropped for failing to meet the prosecutable threshold (the protester grazed Pugh with a sign which I witnessed first-hand) or what exactly Pugh policy is on The Fast track bill and the possible Sam Creek Mine. Though it fair to say it will be whatever Luxton thinks if we look at her past history of flip flopping,

WATER WATER NOT A DROP YOU CAN AFFORD

The photo is taken the same year 2015 Aqua-flow a form with ties to American defense company Honeywell, Air New Zealand Nick Gerritsen talked of the water potential for investment at his wife Babra Speedy art gallery in Picton.

I cornered Nick afterwards to ask how he got to be briefed by a Five Star General at the Pentagon who stated, and I quote “he told us there was only .0007 % of drinking water a figure i recall as I thought 007 and added a 0”.

NOTE: The figure presumably covers water instantly drinkable with most figure I see covering this ranging from .003 – 1% and less than 1.5 (National Geographic stat) for drinkable but not readily accessible.

Nick explained his briefing came about via his consultancy for Fonterra who Nick explained where keen to get out of cows and start farming water. Fonterra alongside the Department of Conservation and Meridan are partner in the Living Water partnership which began in 2013. The partner tout it as an environmentally friendly project. Critics calls the scheme which ends this year a study in water privatization.

And Folks may query that .0007 statistic figure fair enough. But it doesn’t change two core points.

A. water is rapidly becoming a scare and marketable commodity.

B. Worse the ‘Green’ Bonds pitched by Goldman Sach lends itself towards a model of scarcity mean the rarer its perceived the more the market can charge.

And under this model any water the market cannot own is vulnerable. No conspiracy theory perse but economic history where it be diamonds or lithium or petrol profit is maximized by eliminating the competition. Basically, if we can’t own it no one can.

The triptych of 2015 to prove that point is my meeting with the last Sheep farmer in the Manapouri Tuatapere valley. The concept of Water Conservation Orders which was supposed to protect the Te Waikoropupū Save Our springs, which Fast Track threatens to breach, was first adopted in 1981 following the successful Save Manapouri campaign which prevented dam levels from being raised for the Manapouri dam.

The farmer maintains Meridan has brought all the dairy farms up the valley and leased the farms back to dairy farmers with fixed leases. The understanding there will come a day when they will be told to make way for increased hydro power production. Exasperated at the sheep farmer Meridan point man is said to have responded “you will sell out or we will flood you out”.

That encounter was about seven years before several major offshore firms began talking of using southland for building data banks and other IT high energy proposals including those to be powered by the Manapouri dam

Disturbingly the men from Sachs, Fonterra, Meridan, don’t seem concerned that increased hydro power brings with it reduced water quality. And beside decades of neglect, pesticides, pcbs have added to a reduction in water quality making only the water above the spray lines or in deep aquifers fit for harvesting and the Green Bond concept.

Scaremongering?

Examples of this liquid gold rush include

1. Just weeks before the Chch M19 tragedy Chinese water bottling Cloud Ocean is linked to Ex Labour mayor Liane Daziells husband Rob Davidson whose website promoted his business ability to give lobbyist access to the mayor.

2. Chinese creditor pursuing a shareholder of New Zealand water-bottling company One Pure, claiming he owes them a multimillion-dollar debt.

The claim by a Chinese petroleum company, linked to a business deal that turned sour, has led to a “charging order” being placed over a quarter of One Pure’s shares. A charging order prevents property owned by a debtor being sold or disposed of while a creditor pursues a claim.

3. Waiwera Water which ended in a fiasco after Russians linked to Putin inner circle and VTB petroleum (and US Diamond brokers), left a string of creditors in debt.

4. Coca Cola charged Queensland 2000 times the price of their bottling rights, when Queensland need the water to fight fires. Coca-cola is one of 60 multinationals responsible for over half of the world’s plastic pollution, with six responsible for a quarter of that, based on the findings of a piece of research published by the 5 Gyres Institute. All six are strategic partners of the United Nations 17 points of sustainability.

Australia fires like forestry slash were caused by extreme weather events Cyclone Gabrielle and despite advanced computer modeling numerous tactics that would mitigate these foretold disasters were simply ignored. The outcome orchestrated or engineered is folk forced off their land which after minute compensation will be sold to the same multinationals responsible for environmental degradation for a fraction of its worth. All part of the biggest land grab in history which goes virtually unreported by corporate media interest.

Nestle’ CEO Peter Brabeck view on water ownership underscore that the private sector understands full well that water is important as gold.

Once the Fast Track legislation is in place the public will be blocked from having a say on individual projects pushed through what’s described as a “one stop shop” for infrastructure.

I was meant to go to the Stop Sam Creek Gold Mining public meeting.

However, after a weekend of having my drink spiked my phone stolen and Donald Trump getting shot (which almost guaranteeing his reelection chances 100%) I felt little rinsed and washed out.

Sorry but im taking myself off the line. Rest is a weapon too as my sister always says.

Drink spiker was simply a random case of crazy crossing my path, no bigger back story. And once the police tracked down the path of chaos Captain Crazy left in his path locating him and his phone was simple enough.

God knows what he put in my drink but despite the last hours of Friday being a blank most of Saturday I was as high as a kite. Not the worse feeling except tripping means your body wears out before your mind does. But on the bright side i didn’t wake up bleeding from the ass in a gimp cage.

Crazy she a terrifying demon.

And in saying that I think of the poor schmuck who thought shooting Trump was a good idea. The looney probably just went and signed the USA death warrant and given Trump a second term.

And I can’t help feeling the DNC GOP where indirectly in on the act, at the Zeitgeist vibe at any rate, working more as dance macabre partners than genuine boxing rivals. I mean come on why run Biden unless you motivation is to lose. What will be our October surprise.

Will Trump saves us from nuclear war as he hammers ICBM into plough shares, makes peace in the Middle East (minus the wiped-out populace of Palestine and a smoldering crater where Iran was) and the world’s economy surrender to Bric’s weaponized gold, water and oil. To Forever be ruled by the corporate Kleptocracy.

Or will October bring an even bigger dash of Crazy Monster that wipes out the image of a bloody Trump giving a macho fist of defiance.

Either way this is going to be ride where we all wake up feeling violated and worse for wear.

And Gold prices sure enough come close to reaching record prices in the wake of the shooting as investor look for safe harbors.

The posse at the Mussel Inn thought my wild lost weekend immensely amusing.

I got home found out one of the smart asses had slipped a rubber glove in my pocket. Ha ha very droll. Thanks, Fellas, for your concern. Oh, will the Sheriff did say he doesn’t do open heart surgery.

On the not so funny side I checked my phone log after police returned my phone and said offender had been taken away in a straight-jacket, by the “men in white coats with giant butterfly nets”, to the fun “rubber room’ in the “magic castle’ of loco-lost-dazed-as. He wasn’t hard to fine having cut quite a wake of chaos and carnage in his short trip to the bay. One of the regulars’ rolls his eyes and sighs “only at the Mussel Inn”.

The phone log had the guy’s partner number on it. So, I rang it to see what she wanted me to do with his jersey. God knows how but somehow; I wind up with it.

She sounded so sad.

I discover they just had a child. One moment fortune had shone on her giving her the shining knight of her dreams and a newborn baby. The next her knights having a psychotic episode. And somewhere in the back of her mind I bet she is wondering is his crazy genetic and will the sins of the father be inflicted on her newborn offspring too. Wow what a mind bend.

In mental health the spotlight goes on the sick, but few consider that cost mental health has on not just the inflicted but their family and friends too. I hope she has people. I hope the parents of Trump shooter has people too.

The shooter is listed as having links to Portland Antifa who have been in the Homeland Security sights since 2017.

And no doubt if the Big Raccoon with the orange toupee gets elected, they are all going to the very top of the official ‘To be kicked and roofied repeatedly’ shit list. Not a good time to be a social justice activist.

Back in the Bay we have a group of basically well-meaning types of Christians, new age hippies and social ferals, who gather to protest on various fringe issues that has everything but a join the Global Flat Earth Society placard. A few weeks ago, it even began waving a Free Palestine flag a reference to recent tragic events in Palestine. Fairly or not described as alt right the group has adopted the antifa free Palestine left wing cause.

Some might say most of the group are crazy. I’m inclined to note in their defense that often those who get booted the most have the 6th sense to notice red flags that many of us should be paying attention.

Yet we don’t because we are comfortably numb.

So, my issues not with the groups issues perse but rather my concern focusses on who exactly decides for the group what issue they should protest this week. And who set them off. So instead of holding the line on one issue, one rope, they just end up with a clown circus of many loose strings that makes them, and their collective causes look silly, insane and muddled, loco-lost-vague-as.

I have watched the group for a while and singled out a ringleader (whom I call Dark Moon or simply the Takaha Witch) a manipulative hag who use the causes to “fund raise” with most of the proceeds going into her own coffer no doubt. Recently chatting to Action Smith, he revealed how Dark Moon had approached him wanting to put a group together willing to attack power lines and blow up the road in the bay. Action Smith wisely declined the invitation.

The event confirmed my belief the woman dangerous and malevolent. With a little sleuthing it didn’t take long to find her associates included not just the National Front but another group of Wanna-Be MP for grifters, with ties to far-right Pentecostal style organisation whose self-proclaimed Bishop Brian Tamaki.

Tamaki a man who use his own cult followers to buy himself Mercedes and mansions. It was this lot of would-be Charles Manson (with the help of the mining lobby group Atlas) who helped get the pro mining Troika of Act NZ First and National elected. Helter Skelter ring-a ring-a MK-Ultra Rosey.

Nine years ago, I noted how Forest & Birds were alarmed by the NZ military exercise Kouru and Southern Katipo (named after a native bird and NZ’s only poisonous spider).

It was revealed the exercise held in the mineral rich region of Karamea*1 (which backs on to Golden Bay) was based on a script of the army having to be called into put down dissent by disenfranchised alienated types not happy at the NZ governments new mining laws. Laws brought in as part of a “Special Economic Vision”.

Hague stated well before the Fast Track Bill arrival “For one thing, the description of Becara bears an uncanny resemblance to the southern West Coast of New Zealand, where the former government remains eager to implement ‘special economic zones’ which would allow them to bypass existing regulations in order to speed up the issuance of mining and oil exploration permits”.

*1 In the same area that lawyer Liz Lambert (previously involved in the dubious Fay Richwhite Crayfar farm deal) and ex National Front/ Gold Mining merc Kelvyn Alps encouraged Sovtards to set up allodial land claim call Free Zealandia.

The script, drawn up by the US war College, was set in the fictional land of Becara. However, as Forrest & Bird noted while Becara was not real Special Economic Zones were very real. An idea created by the NZ arm of the Atlas network, The NZ Initiative, was being given consideration by the government as far back as 2010. As of 2017 SEZ are now being studied by the West Coast regional government ss part of their strategic plan.

Dark Moon not alone as an agent who sets out to deceive others for ill intent and self-gain. Recently RNZ highlighted the role of Cobweb Technology in NZ.

Cobweb a bunch of Israeli Cyber mercenaries who boast they have manipulated more that 25 elections in the past five years worldwide. Doing this by infiltrating and taking control of extremist groups left and right online and off.

A similar group would also get itself booted out of NZ by NZSIS after it was shown infiltration meant provoking and inciting groups/ mentally ill individuals to engage in criminal activity. Meanwhile ex National Front turned gold merc turned “journalist” Kelvyn Alps Counter-Spin could be found advertise Israeli bitcoin on its platform. Someone at odds with his anti-Jewish views but as the book Inside The League, which focus on the far-right World Anti Communist league, document the links between National Front and Israel are not as odd as you think. Back in the US Cobweb was shown to have infiltrated numerous groups including Portland’s Antifa network.

Makes you wonder what poison words were sunk into the young Trump shooters veins and by whom. One can only imagine the pain his parents and family now feel. Crazy always ends up hurting the people and causes we love the most.

And yet in every nutbar is a kernel of cold truth.

I literally can’t recall most of what crack a doodle crackpot said but i do recall him early on, before everything went blank, stating he had worked on project for the police called EVE Evidental Virtual Environment. He claimed this is where basically cops can clone your phone and do forensic examination at leisure without you even knowing it. Was there any truth in that or was that just delusion. Certainly sounds a lot like the Israeli private spies NSO who like Cobweb are based in NZ and working with the Five Eyes intelligence services. Oh well they now know this sad ass middle-aged dude looks at ‘naughty nurses.com’ and ‘www.vanilalevelkink’. Busted so bite me. Paranoia is only poisonous if you buy into the drama.

It’s been 3 weeks now since I heard from sister with Alzheimer’s. And I bitterly regret my last words said to her in anger and a sense of betrayal.

At the end of the day, she is not well and vulnerable herself to manipulation. My toxic words were not kind and I probably have driven her deeper into the arms of the ‘Claytons’ aka my greedy thieving siblings. And they will no doubt abandon her when she needs help the most. And I’m not sure at that point I will be able to help her, or I shabbily confess I’m not sure I want to help her anymore.

I am just so exhausted.

Burned out from trying to heal from all the bite wounds inflicted on me by insane people. Zombies driven mad from the fear of having to live in this insane joker of world. A world where the ooze always floats to the top, carried there largely by the folk who choose the short-term comfort of apathy.

Apathy over the need of us all to start caring about earth long term future. That is if the human race doesn’t want to end up as bound victims drained dry by Penny Wise, aka Shelob, aka the great spider web of bad karma and icky juju.

Years ago, a dear friend and fellow writer of mine Eva warned me (before she then went and drunk herself into literal oblivion) “Ben watch out for the Wetiko”

A Wetiko is a dark spirt whom the North American Indians call the Wendigo. A shape shifting creature who waves many flags but behind the facade and web of deception is a self-cannibalising force of pure fear and anger. And when it bites its venom infects its victims with the same dual insanities of its fear anger and insatiable hunger. Once bitten by the Wetiko its victims will likewise become a ravenous Wetikos too.
